I'm moving to Guelph from Hungary with my girlfriend around May next year, as she got accepted into a PhD program at the university there. The city looks absolutely beautiful, we can't wait to see it. Neither of us have visited north america before, so it's going to be quite an experience! How would you describe living there? I've read that the public safety and quality of life sharply declined over the past years, but this video contradicts that by a lot

That's amazing! You would definitely love Canada. The city of Guelph is gorgeous, the downtown has a kind of European vibe. I don't particularly live in Guelph but I have enjoyed visiting the town pretty much. Everything sometimes is exaggerated but I don't deny the facts that we don't face those kinds of challenges... So I think almost every nation deals with those kinds of challenges nowadays, don't you think? All I can tell you is definitely you would enjoy your stay and visit here. Don't let the things you see out there defy your plans... Go experience it and have fun! :)

I'm half Hungarian heritage (my grandparents imigrated to Guelph from Hungary) so I was born there, went to university there, worked and lived there off and on for much of my life. So I know it VERY well. It is indeed a very nice town. I live in Vancouver now but Im actually thinking of moving back to Guelph. I miss it. Although I moved away in 2018, it still looks the same. I would doubt there are murders or muggings. There's no gangs. It's still going to be a very safe town (Canada overall is safe). The video doesn't show it but the downtown area gets quite crazy at night with several thousands of students having a good time at all the bars. Its crazier than a big city because the bars and clubs are all condensed in one small area instead of spread out through a bigger city. The students are generally well behaved. It was a very white town when I left (I know Hungary is very white) but there may have been some different races move in from Toronto during the Covid years. I doubt they would cause any trouble. You have to be pretty successful to even live in Guelph now because the real estate and rental prices are so high. It's one of the highest in Southern Ontario outside of downtown Toronto. Single family homes were $1 million last I checked and 1 bedroom condos are $500,000 (so not cheap). It seems a lot of people want to live in Guelph. Anyway, I'm sure you will enjoy your time there for as long as it lasts.

@@Virtual4KTourOnTo I love Canada since I was a little kid, I have always saw pictures and whacht alot of 4K in KZbin. These are my favorite cities because they have Discos, the buildings and scrycapers are amazing. And also Toronto is my favorite place in all Canada but not only for the city and the Lake Ontario, but also for the CN Tower. I'm turning 18 next year on July and here in Argentina is vacation for 2 weeks in that month and my parents want me to send me ther alone! A BIG CHALLENGE. Do You think is easy to get a Visa to Canada being Argentinan? What are the steps to do everything to go to Ontario?

That would be nice of them... I am pretty sure you would really enjoy Canada. Try to travel up here in the summer because that's when most events are happening. As for the visa requirements, I am not really sure... You can check online. Hopefully, it would be easy for you
