100% agree. Cuir Beluga is beautiful! I was bored and underwhelmed with SDV. I keep going back to my decant trying to be impressed. Because it’s everyone’s favorite. But it’s flat to me. Your vibe is so delightful, and you tell a story somehow, just by your comportment. Very interesting,. Your accent has a little bit of Sheephead Bay or Long Island, but you feel like you escaped everything and moved to France for five years and reinvented yourself a million times and cultivated your epicurean tastes. So cool.

Eloise, I discovered your channel around a week ago, and instantly subscribed. I feel we have very similar tastes in fragrance - and in fact, I have just purchased Cuir Beluga as a birthday gift to myself. It's just so perfect for this time of year! I'm eagerly awaiting the new SMN Ambra, but it hasn't yet arrived in store where I live. I was just wondering if you had tried any of the Regime Des Fleurs line of fragrances? I discovered them earlier this year and have been so impressed - I now have three bottles from their line. Anyway, so glad to have found you, and looking forward to the forthcoming videos this year. 🙂

Funny you mention the house of Regime Des Fleurs... I just finally got my nose on some while I was in a perfume shop in NYC. There is one from the line that was out of stock and I was told they frequently sell out of it. I forget the name but it has a leather note I believe. I am interested in the house so I may order sample and explore... and of course, create a video about my thoughts :)

Hi Eloise, I am also in the process of discovering Guerlain L'Art & La Matière. I have a dilemma: I like both Vanilla planifolia (a more straight forward vanilla and Doble Vanille. Because I have such good memories of Doble Vanille this will be my choice but I would like to have your thoughts about this two. Thank you for your reviews and I love your videos (we have similar taste in fragrances).Thank you
@Eloisescents03095 күн бұрын
I never tried Vanilla Planifolia but in the video I do compare Cuir Beluga to Double Vanille. I think Cuir Beluga is more that just a straight up vanille. It is definitely powdery and has this suede like texture which I love. For a striaght up delicate vanilla I would go with Double Vanille. If you want a bit more than just vanilla, a little complexity... then Cuir Beluga is beautiful in my opinion. :)

How would you compare Cuir Beluga vs Material by Amouage ? Which do you prefer in regards to performance? Thank you
@jeffkoons001Ай бұрын
Guerlains generally are not as long lasting as Amouages (Tobacco Honey is an exception)
@Eloisescents0309Ай бұрын
@@jeffkoons001I would have to agree with that! Cuir Beluga is much much more powdery and delicate while Material by Amouage is much more “substantial” with more heft to it; it has woody notes and incense. It’s balsamic and smoky. They really are two different things. The Amouage would be longer lasting with more projection and the Cuir Beluga more close to the skin and powdery with amber touches. Hope this helps 😊

@Eloisescents03095 күн бұрын
Cuir Beluga and Material are in two completely different categories. Material is an amber vanilla fragrance with lots of woods. Its beautiful but Cuir Beluga is more soft, a powdery soft suede-like experience .... bringing the vanilla is a very delicate powdery direction. Matieral is "heavier" as a fragracne experience . While they are completely different in terms of performance, Material is bolder and stronger with more lasting power but many times fragrances perform "better" because of the notes and the scent profile. I think Cuir Beluga is meant to be soft. Hope this helps :)
