Things haven't changed then - 60+ years ago we Northerners were looked down on by the snobs in the higher parishes lol!!! Two weeks ago, my daughter (she was born on the Island) and her family spent 2 days on Guernsey - their flight to was cancelled but they got there. And boy did they see it all N to S and E to W the lot. - amazing photos sent to me. My grandson, a marathon runner, left St Martin's hotel @ 5am and ran down to town, along the Banques, Bridge, Bordeaux, L'Ancresse, Braye Rd, Capelles and thru middle of Island back to St Martins. He had me live on his phone the whole way (I'm in NZ) I was able to point out places from my growing up years. He stopped at a small café around the Landes Du Marche for a quick coffee - got talking to the lady and surprise - she has the same name as me (Jocelyn Le Page) - my grandson was amazed. He got back to the hotel in a little over 2 hours - not bad eh!!! They loved everything about the Island.

Great interview - wonderful place to live - I struggled a bit in winter as there aren't many distraction options other than all day Sunday lunch 😂 overall I'd go back tomorrow to live if I could

where my daughter lives in somerset , lots small villages around, its beautiful and lots of new houses being built, she moved nearly 4 years ago, she hates it when she comes back my way, i love it there, but all my friend are in Kingston upon Thames,
