I'm shocked there hasn't been a skirmish game with this theme yet. I loves me some X-Com.

I remember playing an indie Alien Invasion game in which the alien's flying saucer was represented by an upside-down beer glass. This was the foot print of the vessel's abduction ray, and any mini covered by the mouth of the glass was removed from play. I'll watch the skies for the appearance of the Let's Play for Majestic 13.

Nice it's like X-Com, X Files, and Delta Green rolled up into a skirmish game.

Recently finished painting up my crew for this one. My first scenario is all set up to play.. Was just a busy weekend. I too appreciate how straightforward the rules seem.

That sounds cool. Reminds me a lot of X-COM, and of that old RPG Conspiracy-X. I look forward to seeing a Let’s Play, with your Sculder and Mully!😄

Excellent! Got my copy a few weeks ago and really enjoyed reading through it - it's next up on my play list after we finish our co-op 5 Parsecs campaign. Looking forward to seeing your playthrough - I want to believe it'll be awesome!

Majestic-13 and The Doomed (coming out in August) have been the two games I was looking forward to this summer. Not much into 40K these days as my tastes have moved more towards indie games and miniature agnostic. Loved Reign In Hell and Space Station Zero. This game checks a ton of boxes for me as far as feeling kinda like an old school RPG game (even with the layout of the book) mixed with X-Com and the X-files. If I played The Naturalized I might have to have a Flukeman as a team member, even if he's just a mascot. Will be looking forward to some Let's Plays of this. I could almost see a resurrection of the Sinister Ministers in this game.

From a visual layout point of view it reminds me a lot of old Top Secret adventures from TSR.

This is exciting! I hope someone makes a Hellboy/BPRD game next I've been wanting a campaign game I could play that with other than Silver Bayonet.

So excited for this one! Curious to know which faction you're going to choose and your solo/coop playthrough should be fun, whenever it happens. Thanks for covering it.

I believe Drive Thru RPG ships to the UK!
@tabletopminions Жыл бұрын
Yes, since they're print on demand, they're either printed in the US or the UK depending on where they're ordered from. People in the UK have been surprised by how cheap the shipping is, but that's because it's being produced just down the road!

@tabletopminions glad i asked, i would have assumed there were all sorts of import fees attached otherwise, got myself a copy and 5 navy seals minis i have to explain to the missus now

It's a bigger font than most current GW books, I did a lot of comparison.

Looks good so far (and thought that when the released it), but wonder if it has the same 'you have reached the end' limit of replayability that hampered Space Station Zero . . .

So nothing on Ash, As I bought the book off this review and then read the game and got hyped too. But it's really bad. It feels like it wasn't play tested well. This game needs to go back into the development oven. I had some free evenings with the wife traveling for work and I put about 6 hours into this game played 4 missions, and It is by far one of the worst games to play I have ever played. I would recommend skipping this until they do a second edition, which I hope they do because there is some really good bones on this game.

@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames I look forward to the let’s play, but I feel that the rules and gameplay is legit part of the book… it’s why we buy the book.
