Me too! It's definitely a generational thing; in the era she grew up, talking about sex was much more taboo, even among adults. So it didn't surprise me that she was a bit uncomfortable or judgy at first. You have Sexual Attraction: Which is just the genders that get you turned on. So Heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual and so on. And then Romantic Attraction: this is who you are able to fall in love with. And may or may not be aligned with sexual attraction. So Hetro/Homo-romantic and so on. She even says that his explanation sorta makes sense after he explains it.

That grandma is everything. Even when people liked stuff she didn't understand or thought was weird or gross she didn't judge them for it. Even when she said the thing about the countless sexual identities she didn't remotely judge, insult or shame the guy. She just happens to be from a generation that never discussed these things but is far more respectful and accepting of these things the majority of her generation. None of the people once communicated, expressed or looked like they felt shamed or judged. Every single one of them was laughing with her the entire time.
