In 2014 Rhett and Link tried to bring the Clearly Canadian drink back. The CEO of the company told them that if they raised enough money, they would start producing the drinks again. The guys then encouraged their fans to buy a 30$ box of drinks and promised that if they reached their goal, they would do an exclusive livestream with people who bought the drinks. The Clearly Canadian company ended up reaching their goal, producing and shipping the drinks to people who bought them. Meanwhile, Rhett and Link never said a word about the drinks being brought back or about the livestream. They acted like nothing ever happened.

the problem is Clearly Canadian didn't hold up to what was expected, here: We wish there was a more exciting or conspiracy-theory-confirming reason why, but the truth is we severed our relationship with the folks at Clearly Canadian back in 2015 after, frankly, we had the same frustrating experience that you did(for more information about this go check "rhett and link wtf" video). There were so many times we were told one thing and another happened that we started to believe our initial goal- of bringing back a drink from our childhood- was never going to happen. There were a lot of lessons learned from this experience on our end and we fully own that we should have handled our messaging differently when things started to go awry.
