There was an SNL episode with Hanson as a guest. During the episode, the song "MMMBop" was played repeatedly until everyone was losing it. It's funny because that song really never gets old, I have probably listened to it 200+ times!

I was a HUGE fan of New Kids On The Block, I had all their CD's (except for their new ones since they came back) and Color Me Badd, I had their first CD. The song lyric used in the first clue for "I Swear" was misleading. The line, "And when there's silver in your hair, you won't have to ask if I still care," is from the *_original_* recording by John Michael Montgomery (a solo artist). The line that All-4-One (the group) uses in their recording says, "And when just the two of us are there, you won't have to ask if I still care." The REACT team fumbled on their research there.

I have never referred to or heard anyone while I was growing up refer to The Jackson 5/The Jacksons or any type of R&B group as a "boy band." That's very weird to me. I never thought of Color Me Badd, Boyz II Men, New Edition etc. as boy bands. When I think of "boy bands" I think of 90's and early 2000's pop groups. Oh, and I see NKOTB, looking back on it, as the original boy band mold that influenced the 90s groups and on. I thought of "boy bands" being more specific. I wouldn't even think to call The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, or The Monkees etc "boy bands". I just don't consider all male singing groups to be "boy bands" 🤷🏽‍♀️
