I know there’s no rules to the subject. I just wonder why and when did the default color of goblins become green? The only source i have for green goblins are warhammer (and warcraft but they more or less copied warhammer). But D&D goblins are usually in the ranges of tans, yellows and reds, sometimes darker and more muted.

Yeah...you're 100% correct. When uploading this I realized I said "green" and then the picture at the end was tan. My bad!
