Hey bro, totally enjoyed that video. I found another one and said the same thing about the diffs. Could you show what you use to grease the gears and oil. I own 2 RC Trucks and I know nothing about the parts inside, haven't drove them yet as I am preparing to setup a track. The reason why I ask is because I want to be sure that I don't want to spend money on RC's that aren't properly greased. Can you share a video of the stuff I'll need to buy? Very Appreciated. I have another youtube videos for Hot Wheels and RC, but I'm using this one as I was thinking about RC. OH and btw, I'm bookmarking this video too. Great way to start inspecting the RC. Thanks for the video :).

I think this RC is still good because its price is just 100 euro dollars only and it gets a universal joint in its driveshaft. A minor problem is that the differential gears are not sealed so you can't fill silicone oil. Slipper Clutch or central differential gear is not necessary for a beginner to experience RC toys. Mine 14002 has been totaled within 3 weeks because Wltoys has miscalculated the suspension shafts. Front suspension shafts are bent under compression due to cornering which results in steering failures and crashes. As the chassis is bent, the differential gears and gearboxes cannot be installed because it is a shaft-drive system. It explains the universal joint driveshaft system is very important. I also think powder metal is not a problem if you are not playing Wltoys competitively with a high-end sensored brushless 5.5t motor - 13.5t surpass hobby ESC-motor-combo is, of course, a good option for Wltoys.

The hype for this thing is unreal, some KZbinrs are becoming rabid fanboys and denying any shortcomings about Wltoys. It's good to see honest down to earth teardowns and reviews, Wltoys quality control has been suspect for a while. If you need to tear it down and add grease/oil can it really be called ready to run? That's why RTRs cost more than kits and rollers, you're paying for the convenience of not having to assemble it before running. A certain well known RC brand assembles their trucks in Taiwan and their quality control is great.

@philipfitzenrider25473 жыл бұрын
What weight grease should you add? 🤔 Would white lithium have any advantages?
@10thScaleGarage3 жыл бұрын
It’s just marine grease from autozone. It’s pretty think stuff. The oil that I added to the shocks was 45wt.
@burling023 жыл бұрын
I always just use automotive bearing grease high heat , it's usually red, white lithium grease is alot thinner and would work for a 1/16 differential but a 1/10 needs a thicker grease inside to prevent the differential from being too loose, keeping both wheels turning at the same speed like a locked differential, helps with full throttle launches, white lithium on outer crown gears would create less drag then a thicker grease so might run a bit faster like 1 mph but isn't as water resistant as a thicker grease and might become runny in high temperatures, a thicker grease will be less likely to fling off the gears but creates more drag Thu the transmission but I'd say it's unnoticeable unless you over pack the crown gear and bevel gear with too much grease, I only use a small amount of grease like a thumb nail size glob spread it on the crown gear so no teeth are showing and it spreads its self after running

Add that to the initial cost to buy and you have the price of a hobby grade brushless, right out of the box. If Banggood wants to boost sales, rather than give a dozen of these to reviewers who will get them at the same time and bombard KZbin with reviews, all at the same time, they should get their RC stuff in their US warehouse to avoid the 3 MONTH shipping time!!!
