Will there be bosses in the next update? that's why in 2.2a there was a missile for everything, suggestion and problem report in v2.2b, the weapon is still not fully centered leave it centered with the retracted, bug in split screen mode when activating widscreen the weapon still moves to the side it is not in all resolutions, in scenario 9 still in split screen mode between at the same time in a portal and see that always a player dies, this problem is old, suggestion when we are at maximum resolution and remove the texture should release 30 fps, another suggestion is that we really want to be able to open the map with a click on the MODE button after activating the strafe L and R mode, thanks for your attention

I'll pass on the report to Vic. We'll get this knocked down. That's partly why we make these releases - the more people running the game, the more reports we get on things that need work.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to the team for making this a possible reality. Not enough thanks are ever given to you guys for doing this in your free time for mostly ungrateful people. I recently started rebuilding my tower of power and can't thank you guys enough. The megadrive/genesis was and still is my favourite console. You guys should set up a buy a beer link where everyone can contribute to your efforts financially and atleast give you a cold one to enjoy. Many thanks from Australia.

amazing job congratulations, a question screen the bosses' own scenarios? Will the rom be 6MB or 8MB?

The CD and SMM will be moved to their respective levels. I cannot say what size the rom will be... depends on how much more gets added. Just adding the CD and SMM boosted the size to nearly 6MB.

One more suggestion, I tested it on a device with audio mode and realized that the music is very rum mainly from area 1, could you add an audio mode option? I thought I already had the option but when I entered the audio menu I saw that it doesn't.

While you are playing, hit START to pause the game. There will be an AUDIO option. It will allow you to set the music to OFF, FM, or CD (only if you have a Sega CD attached, or are using the MegaSD or the MED Pro in MegaSD emulation mode). v2.2 also allows you to set the volume of the CD/SD music. If you don't have a SCD or MegaSD/MEDPro, you only get the options of OFF or FM.

@@TheJLF65 I understand, but I mean the mono audio mode for devices with only one speaker, the game is stereo and I used the game on a mono device and I noticed that the music is very bad, so I went to see if in the audio options I had the mono option and I don't have it, would you like to add it?

@@SCIN Oh! Okay, that makes more sense. I'll talk to Vic about this. Note that there's nothing to be done about CD or MegaSD music, and FM music would need to be parsed on the fly for where it sets the channel position. There's no magic setting in the Genesis to make stereo into mono. The music changes a register in the FM chip to set left or right, and we'd have to change that on the fly to left AND right to make the music mono.

friend I've been playing several versions of doom these days and I realized that the 32x version the weapons are distorted, even in the snes version the weapons are more similar to the PC version, is it possible to add the sprites of the PC weapons in the game? another thing that would also be good was to add the switches of the PC that have the red lights, in this doom 32X are levers

If you put the screen in widescreen mode, the weapons will be stretched as it makes the aiming better. In normal screen mode (4:3 aspect ratio), the weapons are exactly the same as normal Doom.

@@TheJLF65 Maybe it's the colors that make me think it's different, sorry for questions and suggestions, I remembered another important thing for you to write down in the future, another improvement you need in this game, increase the firing speed of the machine gun and the shock weapon , on the PC is very fast and this is possible in doom resurrection because hacks - doom 32x: delta edition has the firing fastest than the doom version of PC

Porque na área 9 Deimos Anomaly jogando no modo coop o jogador 2 é sempre morto quando entramos no portal? V2.2b ao ativar widescreen a arma fica má para a direita, Estamos jogando com gamepad e ativamos o L R strafe XZ fica perfeito com gamepad, mas não tem botão para abrir o mapa, faz tempo que vejo comentários de usar o botão MODE e realmente seria perfeito ele funcionaria como o select do gamepad semelhante a configuração do doom de PC, é possível adicionar essa função ou não? Mais uma sugestão para o modo coop tela dividida os sprites das armas poderia ser menor? as opções gráficas poderia salvar independe do modo solo?

It's called telefragging, and was a common way to kill your enemy(ies) in Doom. Don't want to die, don't stand in a portal while someone else ports in. :D The map isn't all that important to us, but we will get to it eventually. There are more important things still to deal with.

@@luciagamer8872 We'll check into it. Could be a bug in the level data. JagDoom levels have a bunch of bugs that we've fixed.

@@TheJLF65 isso ocorre em qualquer portal ao tentar sair rápido somos teletransportado de volta, ver se vocês consegue fazer com que essa função de matar inimigo no portal não funcione no modo tela dividida, é muito ruim quando entramos jo portal um jogador morre sem motivo

@@luciagamer8872 I'll check into what the regular Doom does. This is probably just something they did with JagDoom. Remember, lots of bugs not related to any of our code... we've spent quite a bit of time fixing bugs that will affect the Jaguar or any other derivative of the Jaguar code that didn't fix the problem themselves.

Eu conclui o jogo e vou falar o que achei, parabéns pelas novas áreas adicionadas bem semelhante as originais pois as áreas já existentes do 32x estão simplificadas, sugestão a área 1 Hangar precisa de mais atenção nas texturas principalmente a ausência da cor azul do piso do início, entre as áreas simplificadas a 13 Command Center precisa de um pouco de atenção se possível expandir o mapa para acesso a área secreta Dis que é o final no doom 32x original, mas na versão doom completa essa é apenas uma área secreta, se possível verifique o poder da arma BFG 9000 parece não causar dano igual na versão PC, perguntas, na v3.0 será a versão final certo? Se sim podemos esperar abrir o mapa no botão MODE ao ativar strafe?

Well you're now beating the PSX version in resolution at full screen. I think it's at least as smooth. We need someone to do something like this for the 3do and/or Jag version. Maybe the 3d0 can't do Doom. Some guys been working on it for 7 years with no real improvements.

@@cbarbagallo It's based on JagDoom code, but with many fixes and improvements. Some other team has been working on JagDoom, and they supposedly have done good things with it, but so far they've only released videos of their work instead of rom patches and source code. One person has been working on OptiDoom (optimized 3DO Doom), but he has released the source in case someone else wants to help. If I had a 3DO, I probably would. But that's the main difference between these three projects - two of them have made the source code available for anyone to help, and one has released nothing but old videos. The 3DO actually has the biggest hurdles to cross - it only has one 12.5 MHz ARM processor for running the game. There's no way to run the game code and render the graphics in software at any kind of real speed. You MUST use video hardware acceleration to have a prayer of getting good speed on the 3DO, and that's what the person working on OptiDoom has been experimenting with - various methods of rendering Doom with the 3DO video hardware.

You might be right. I always figured maybe the guy who was working on this wasn't very good but perhaps he is fairly good but you really really need to be excellent to get the 3DO DOOM to improve much...Which is kind of sad cause I was really looking forward to a new DOOM for the 3DO. And Burger Becky seems to have no real interest in the one that got away. Ask for the jaguar Doom there is a group that's supposed to be currently working on it and as has been said they haven't released any code or let programmers help who have offered to help. This is about the 5th group of guys who have coming to the jag community and done this. This seems to be unique situation exclusive to the Jag community and a first of any retro community that has DOOM on their consoles. Even the commercial SNES DOOM had it source code released. Everybody else shares as a gift to the community. And last I heard they were ripping the guts out of JagDoom and putting a proprietary engine in it's place. Another first for any retro community with Doom. I don't think this bodes well at all. Even if others can work on it you never gonna get it's full potential with the proprietary engine keeping you from really digging into it. They say they won't release it until it's finished but none of these are finished you work on them forever. If they are waiting around for what I really think they're waiting around for to happen then we're never ever going to see this version. But it's their version and they can do whatever they want. What is needed is a new branch and this version supposedly being worked on completely disregarded. However everyone seems to be too intimidated by this group and too worried about stepping on their toes as it were. And the group seems confident that after 20 years no one else has come forward with a community rework on jagdoom and that no one is about to and they have no fear of being scooped.

@@A31Chris I do have a Jaguar, and both a skunkboard and the JagGD. At some point, I will try my hand at JagDoom, assuming nothing else changes in the meantime. I've just been busy at work and helping on 32X stuff, like D32XR. I think the main thing to get the Jaguar side going is not just an open source repo, but one with specific instructions that allow (almost) anyone to build it. The current JagDoom has source out, but it's really tough to get those old tools working on modern systems. You really want to move up to the latest m68k gcc, rmac, and rln. Once you have a modern toolchain anyone can use, and JagDoom that builds with that, then I think the community can start making a nice open source improved version.

Thinking about it you probably really shouldn't do that.. Anybody RELEASING a new JagDoom branch version that anybody can work on and help improve is going to take the full brunt of harassment and political shaming for having stepped on the toes of the precious few. You really don't need that Chilly. Wait until somebody else starts a new branch who wouldn't mind that kind of heat and then you and others can help build on that if you want without putting up with the harassment. Because it's going to be a shitshow when it happens.

Remember that 6MB was just the size that SSF2 wound up being. The standard mapper works up to 32MB of rom. Most current flash carts will handle 14 to 16 MB for the standard mapper. The NeoMyth will handle up to 8MB for the standard mapper, and FUSION only handles 6MB as it was really only meant for existing games. It would need to be updated for larger roms. Picodrive handles larger roms with the standard mapper, but it's also a newer emulator with more work put into it. A custom cart using logic to simulate the standard mapper could definitely be made for reproductions.

@@nicolaspersijn No 32X cart uses the Sega Mapper. The ONLY game to ever use the mapper was Super Street Fighter 2. Using a regular Doom cart with new roms would only work up to 4MB. Beyond that, you need either a SSF2 cart, or a custom cart (or one of the many flash carts).
