I like how when I don't know a word, I can guess from the context and your gestures. helps a lot to learn it that way. Also, I figured out it was Costa Rica pretty early cuz there was a costa rican flag in the background at one point lol.

I thought It was Guatemala. Your and Suqing videos are amazing. I like to watch them and I understand almost everything you both say. But in the last 9 days I've been traveling through Guangdong province and I still barely can communicate in Mandarin (Cantonese, no way). What would you suggest?

I love Suqing's videos! We may have a collab video coming out soon;). How many hours of input do you think you have at this point? Conversing with a slow and clear native speaker could easily require hundreds of hours of input (and intentional output practice). Now talking to native speakers with heavy accents (i.e. Guangdong province) is a whole different game😆

@@Luper1970 Listen to materials that suit your level - the ones you can understand about 80% without any subtitles. And then slowly pick up the speed and difficulty. Don't rush to accented materials if you don't understand them much yet.
