Может быть, у вас будут скоро видео по-русски? Хочу показывать своим студентам, как Виктория говорит с русскими родственниками и друзьями. I'm doing the same thing, most likely this fall from LA , CA Moscow has a potential to become the best of both worlds, high quality public transportation and sidewalks that are actually used by pedestrians like in Europe - yes please. Very wide streets like the ones in the US - yes please. Clean, almost spotless, like in Japan and S.Korea - yes please.

family is a rare thing in the west(exists mainly among migrants from Mexico or very religious people),you just raise kids and they leave you and never call or visit,when you can't take care of yourself they throw you away like a useless dog to a shitty old people home,none of these people get visited,even though 90% of old people in these homes are not sick,have no mental or physical issues,can take care of themselves,they go to these shit homes because their pension doesn't cover the expenses for the house,so the house doesn't even pass onto family members but goes back to the bank for the cheapest price they can sell and that covers the old ppl home(irl is a scheme to steal all that money by selling the houses and finding the cheapest versions of alternatives for pensioners to live in) While in eastern countries like Russia grandparents get visited at least once a week or they live and help out with grandchildren,putting even a sick parent in the nicest old people house is looked down upon,because everyone knows that nannies cost less and ppl who put their parents in these homes just don't wanna be around them anymore.
@kamigriff
@kamigriff 2 жыл бұрын
@@juodagalvesniegena714 I wish I could like your post 1 million times. Everything you said is so true. My hubby is Serbian, and we had the parents talk. In my family we don’t put our elderly in homes. It’s looked down upon if you can’t take care of your parents. I let him know my parents are staying with me, and he said the same thing about his. I love his parents , and my dad and him were best friends before he died of cancer. When he was sick he moved in with my parents I was away at school, and he helped to take care of him. My mom had a stroke and, my sister and I are both taking care of her. When COVID hit his parents were here and we all decided to stay together. So it was his parents, my mom ,my hubby, and I and my sister and my niece. Yes we all had our own rooms and 3 full bathrooms. We have two living rooms for separate spaces to chill and watch tv Honestly it was the best. We all cooked, ate together, shared stories, and bonded. We exercised together. It was only six months, and the in laws had to go back to Serbia. My mom and sister miss them more than my hubby. 😂 Also, my hubby used to be an administrator at a nursing home. It’s really sad. No one visits their family members. Nursing homes are there to siphon the money away. They take everything. It’s on a state by state basis how many years they go back, but if you put your house in your kids names two years ago. Let’s say, this year you need to go to a nursing home. They take the house and sell it and the money used funds a few short years. Then you might get stepped down to either a cheaper nursing home or room. That’s because now Medicare is paying. If you give your kids large sums of money they take that too. It’s not that much work to take care of a sick parent or grandparent. Even if it is, it’s your parents. I just don’t get the lack of respect or values. Even if parents stay in the home there are so many cases of elder abuse in families. What is wrong with people? Same is true for disabled children. We need to shift that narrative here in the states. Family is everything.

@@rebeccam.7249, normally Russians are tolerant to others (that is natural for us as our culture is a fusion of many), there was the problem in the late 90th - early 2000th as the authorities tried to play with football fans and neo-fashists for some reason, but this madness's gone luckily. Currently, nobody cares who you are outside, but who you are as a personality as it used to be(at the everyday's communication level). I suppose that for Victoria may have more problems with cultural barrier rather than with xenophobia, that's where her spouse needs to support her with a great care!

Modern city resident lead such a way of life that they simply do not notice either the heat or the cold. You go out of the warm apartment to the parking lot under the house and get into the preheated car and go to the parking lot under the office or shopping center, where you decided to do shopping. All rooms in Russia are very warm in winter because heating is a by-product of heating hot water and it costs a penny for energy supply companies, but they sell it for a lot and therefore prefer to sell it to the public as much as possible, rather than throw it away for free It is rather difficult for Russians to get used to the cold, humidity and mold in winter in the homes of Western countries

Of course, in the United States, you can also find family-oriented communities, but in Russia it is at the level of state policy and the structure of society, cities are built taking into account the convenience, leisure and entertainment of children. State policy encourages monetary subsidies and benefits for the birth of two or more children, a woman can also go on paid maternity leave for up to 3 years with the preservation of wages and this is guaranteed by Russian labor legislation I am sure in many ways that is why the guys decided to move to Moscow

@Valeriy TV Yes, the streets of Russia are filled with homeless, drug-addicted, suffering people, who have no access to quality medical care and face a bleak economic future in a country saddled with a gargantuan national debt and run by a morally corrupt, all-over-the-world-war-waging government! Wait, I am not talking about the USA, am I???

I think at the moment it's only possible for family that already lives in Russia, working based and if you have russian nationality. You can call the company that provides the visa for you. I am Dutch and I live in Russia. It changes a lot at the moment because of Covid.

If we talk about Europe, then today air service with the UK opens. Weekly flights from June 10 will be resumed with Austria, Hungary, Luxembourg, Croatia and Albania. Also, if I'm not mistaken, there are open flights to Serbia, Portugal and Iceland. Some combine a visit to Russia with vaccination :) They come especially for this purpose. In Russia, there are no problems with the vaccine, for example, I was vaccinated yesterday. At 10 am, I called the hospital, signed up, came to the hospital at 2 pm and underwent the procedure in 10 minutes. So it's quite real. If there's anything I can do to help, I'd be happy to. We always welcome good people!

He has been accepted as a permanent resident of Australia however - like you - I would absolutely love the opportunity to spend a year in Russia to learn the language and the culture more before we have children. Thanks!

. I'm glad this isn't the end of your vlogs. As a child, I lived in Europe. I am American. I have never felt totally at home with American culture. I found Europe, including Great Britain, is much nicer in so many ways. It's calmer, to say the least. In much of Europe. However, there are still some very racist countries in Europe. Take heed. All the best, you two. Love from Boston, MA USA. 🤗🥰

Greetings. ... Yes Europe is different. We are the oldest and most diverse part of the world with a rich culture and an infinite number of scientists, statesmen, military commanders, etc .. But we also have our imperfections, like all communities and states or nations. ... If you mean "racism", you're probably talking about the Balkans and Central or Eastern Europe. ... Yes, the truth is half. True racism is the same as in Germany for the Nazis or in Italy for the Fascists. Even in Japan and their Fascist policy against other nations of Asia. This is murderous racism and essentially a "war crime and a crime against humanity". Racism is relatively harsh in the United States, too, but fortunately there is no racial war, which I hope will never happen in the United States. ... Then there is "nationalism" which is the preference of one's nation and the majority ethnic population in some territory of a particular state. You could say PATRIOTISM. Which is right, because everyone wants to protect their homeland, culture, traditions, way of life and more. The basic premise is only that the protection of their heritage and interests does not turn into conflict and racial intolerance. ... That is the essence of a peaceful life in every country of the world.
