Good luck with the audit. It seems the government has no guts to audit big corporations if they do they going to deport auditors of the 103rd floor for an unforgettable landing. With some billions of $$$$ and hiring some 20 000 auditors they are well underway to go getting those who working hard and earning $0 after paying governmentent taxes , bills etc. Anyway good luck. Yep those stupid bars on the w9 grills. I even tried little dabs of steel stick trying to not have it look stupid, that didn’t work either so bars are in the shop no longer bothering me.

Before I retired I worked for 43+ years for a small motor coach and school bus company with several locations the first 30 years or so as a mechanic and remaining years as fleet manager. Over the years I went through several audits both state and federal. The federal ones in Minnesota were performed by Minnesota dept of transportation employees contracted to the federal government, the state ones were performed by the Minnesota department of public safety. And then, because we were a defense contractor ( doing military troop movements) every three years we would have a department of defense audit. They would usually last three to four days . We always did well but they would always find some small issues. I hated it. Good luck.

Nail polish works to keep them tight and easier to remove if needed. Locktite works but dont use red for sure.

Don't feel bad. I had to deal with property tax walk through appraisals/verifications for 16 years running. Come to find out I made "the list" because I was honest and the firm doing the walk throughs saw me as easy verification/fee income. Finally ended a couple of years before I sold out and retired.

I was never audited again for the remaining 11 1/2 years. I will cross my fingers for you. Maybe you will get a good agent and not some jerk.

well, it the same criteria with Gorilla tape on the shoe repair. Next time you are at home take a dremel tool, drill a hole in that little bar that lost the clip, from side to the other side. Get you a clear plastic zip tie, and go through both holes into the grill behind it. Pull it tight, snip off the tail and that should hold it straight. Love the plastic zip tie for semi-permanent fixes. You can get them in just about any color and size to meet the situation. Or if you don't want to drill two small holes in that fancy 'bar', just loop over the whole thing into the grill and that will hold it too. Yeah, audits suck, and you described the GOV, to a 'T'.
