leaderdblusbro i don't know about the salaries in the US but in europe no matter the major for at least the first year of your career you're only getting paid minimum wage. @Drog .NDTrax Yeah, you actually have no idea what you're talking about. If you had the slightest aptitude for research you would have references for your argument, which is by the way, completely uncritical and entirely opinion based. Engineering majors study the most at an average of 19 hours a week(www.mymajors.com/blog/college-majors-study/). Which, this makes sense as Engineering majors statistically have higher IQs than most other majors, the lowest being 124 IQ, which is still considered intellectually superior(thetab.com/us/2017/04/10/which-major-has-highest-iq-64811).

Being an art student must be amazing. And im sure you’ll find someone who loves your stuff just as much as you do ☺️ buuuut I‘m sorry, this is totally weird to say but i‘ve seen this a couple times now under different videos, where people simply ask not to be hated for their comment. I just had to say a thing because the comment section is actually such a unimportant thing yet people pick up fights and start arguments and spread hate. Over, when you really think it through, mostly nonsense, but it really bothers me that people sometimes have to be afraid to even post a simple comment. And, if it was a joke, great.👼🏻 But I just wanted to point that people nowadays get hated on because of a comment, which is really sad. 😔 we should all spread love, acceptance and respect instead of hate ✌🏻☺️♥️

ACCOUNTING GANG. But realistically accountants in the Boston area aka high cost of living will start out with 60k~ salaries assuming they go into public accounting firms :). For industry I would imagine close or a tad bit higher.

At BU? Also there's a lot of variation by university and the particular type of polisci (e.g., you can't expect to get much for critical theory type stuff, but the quanty stats stuff is reasonably lucrative.)

@@Humanophage nope in Florida. I've been in politics for over 6 years now and for a fact can tell you it doesn't matter where you go to school for polisci if you want to end up in politics-- what these political employers care most about is actual experience. I've seen folks from Harvard, UC Berkley, NYU etc getting same or similar starting pay in political field.

@@nadoben21 sorry to burst your bubble but I was and still am. I'm a lobbyist for one of the biggest organizations in the country and have become one of the most respected experts in my field and Florida politics. Even then, my pay is not at 60k and thats with 4 years of work experience now. Pay really depends on employer but ask anyone in politics what their starting pay was out of college and you'll get similar responses even lower. As an entry-level legislative aide in congress you barely budge 30k.

This reminds me of what happens in my profession when we choose a residency field. It’s basically a personality test. The jocks choose ortho. The ones with crazy eye-hand coordination become surgeons. The nerds (yeah, I know, we’re all nerds, different scale here) go into internal med subspecialties like renal or neuro. The do-gooder idealists (like me) do family medicine. The people who can watch the Lion King 50 times without getting bored go into peds. The crazy people choose psych. And so on…
