New series on my channel highlighting guest solos I've recorded. First up is a solo for WIDEK on his track "Satellite": "Stoked to be asked to guest on this beautiful track. Widek is awesome! Had so many ideas of what to play it was hard to narrow it down, but, I was super happy with how the solo came out. One of my favourites for sure! Can't remember why on earth I recorded this video in a dark room! I'm guessing I didn't know how the video was going to look, because at the time, I was living in the middle of a rainforest on top of a mountain with views over the Gold Coast! Would have looked much cooler to film in my backyard LOL"

How do you avoid all the unwanted noise and string buzz? The control is nuts
@PaulWardingham Жыл бұрын
Basically, I use my right hand palm to mute out lower strings and the underside of my left hand for the top strings. Fingertips can also play a role. I also tap pretty hard consistently to raise the volume of the notes above any extraneous string noise. It just takes practise until it becomes second nature.

I should point out that for recording I often use a string dampener. It’s takes the clarity the extra mile. But as you can see in a lot of my one take playthroughs I don’t need it, because I worked on the muting technique
