I see parallelism in Genesis 1. Days 1, 2, and 3 parallel days 4, 5, and 6. Light, water/heaven, land. That doesn't make it an artist depiction or non literal. It merely shows the consistency of the way God created. The numbers, by nature of Hebrew writing, make it clear that creation took 6 literal days.

I have posted my big Bang comment above. Neil has this already on his site and has not answered it. We have a field day with science, not the other way around. If you disbelieve this, answer my comment, showing me it is wrong and how. Also conduct the experiment on the page! I have been dead for 27 min on Dec 2022 and saw it all. Heaven Hell God Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all real. I was an athirst when this happened, and am a Christian now.

The other issue over here with the Church has been institutional denial of paedophilia and protection of the brand of the church at the expense of the victims. We see children abused and the church does not fulfill its legal obligation as mandatory notifiers under the law. The perpetrators might get transferred sidewards or tucked away somewhere, and the victims are subject to a program of disbelief and ostracisation. We also see the church stalling with legal cases for compensation. Church lawyers and their insurance companies initiate legal stays to delay proceedings until perpetrators have passed. They also go slow on investigations, particularly when perpetrators are aged - Clear that they will pass before being questioned or prosecuted.

@@jakgodfrey9416 Catholic Church Au is delaying trials for victims compensation via stays and permanent stays where offenders are still priests, but in seclusion. These cases are 'go slow' investigated and victims are told the cases cannot proceed until investigated. The belief here is that the expected compensation payouts will be massive and beyond insurance cover. Strange also in that these large organisations often do not carry insurance, rather they use a 'managed fund' to pay out claims. I suspect the looming amounts are in excess of available funds.

we have hundreds of examples of colliding galaxies apparently midway through billion year collisions. the mice galaxies have "tails" hundreds of thousands of light years long (of stars) - google the pic and nasa simulation - mice galaxies . i propose that therefor the star displacement issue is even tougher than the distant starlight problem as faster lightspeed would not account for these star masses moving such great distances. this seems to indicate a very old universe and the only seemingly possible answer is some time dilation theory ( or light in transit deception ) similar to dr humphries white hole theory as faster lightspeed would not account for physical stars moving so far in less than millions of years

That was a speedy response to my comment. Evidence - where do I start? Let me offer an observation with which to begin. He, like others of similar persuasion, postulate God as an indisputable, propositional given. It is not. Everything he proposes in his argument makes the assumption (the foundational basis of his argument) on that erroneous premise. All he can do is blithely assert his case that the existence of God is not a factor that requires explanation or proof.

He then went on to obtain a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in astrophysics at the University of Colorado in Boulder. There, he used the SOHO spacecraft to analyze the surface of the sun...."

Oh, he too has written books, One has a very similar title to one of Dr. Jason Lisle which is titled: The Physics of Einstein: Black holes, time travel, distant starlight, E=mc2.......Michio's book is titled: Starships. Time Travel. Black holes. Wormholes. Alien civilizations. Hyperspace. Anti-matter drive. Parallel universe. Seems to me, they are all doing similar things. And, before the Webb went up, Dr. Lisle made predictions on what it would find. His were opposite what other Astrophysicists expected would be found. Prayer is not outlawed in schools. Any kid is able to pray whenever they want to whomever. Teachers and the schools cannot encourage worshiping one faith over another. Saying it is outlawed is a huge lie.

In 1963 there was a Supreme Court decision. It did not ban the Bible from schools. It drew a distinction between studying it in such classes as religious studies and teachers using it to preach. The Bible was not removed from schools. I believe this os necessary as I’m sure you would have a problem with a teacher of another religion using their text to preach to children

Students can and should pray for other students, teachers, and administrators. Christian students should view their schools as a field for evangelism, and they should receive training from parents and churches for this purpose. No one can stop a child from praying, only from organizing a specific prayer event on public school grounds. As the saying goes, “As long as there are exams, there will be prayer in schools.”

I do not understand how you fit all of the asteroid impacts into this timeline. It looks like the Theia impact remnant chunks might have been located deep inside the Earth. Not mentioned in Genesis, but this book does not refer to the Moon specifically even though our Moon is critical to life on Earth. The impact would have created oceans of lava and our planet was basically shredded. The Flood is clearly referenced and its spiritual impact is critical, but where does the Chicxulub impact event fit? This basically wiped out most dinosaurs and most mammals with a supersonic tsunami of superheated ash that hurtled around the Globe. Dwarfs the Flood. Evidenced in the fossil layer plus soot and Iridium layers. Add in the even larger Vredefort impact crater. Newly discovered even larger Deniliquin impact crater is just starting to be investigated? Why are these events not written about in any ancient texts? How many are hidden under the oceans? I've no idea and need some help here.

Well, the 'global flood' never happened. Genesis is a compilation of legends written only about 2500 years ago, much of it borrowed from pre-abrahamic faiths and myths. Everything makes sense when you realize the Earth is extremely old. Radiometric dating bears this out, along with what we see of stars and their nucleosynthesis related compositions.

Please read "The Origin of Specis." Unlike what this video will tell you, Darwin did not propose evolution. This was around centuries prior. Darwin only found one mechanism to show how evolution works. Current advances in genetics have built upon this mechanism. The universe has never been claimed to pop out of npthing, and as an astrophysisicst, Mr Lisle knows better but has to lie.

Observation mostly. In the mid to late 17th century evolution was beginning to gain traction as a science. Darwin was well aware of it and was working to find the mechanisms. He developed a good foundation and then later as we discovered genetics it has grown well beyond what Darwin could have even imagined
