Steve, I thank you for your friendship with Perry. For 7 years, he was my pastor and losing him was the most difficult thing me and the church went through. I cried when he came out, as your church clapped, stood and shouted for Perry. I have so many memories of NewSpring church standing, clapping and shouting for Perry too , as we love him so very much. Perry, it was Awesome seeing you, hearing you on stage preaching again. God bless you and your family. I know God isn't finished with you yet. You are missed so very much at NewSpring. What a powerful Word from God! Praise God for your life Pastor Perry and Pastor Steven! This is my first time writing a comment on your videos. This message really hit me hard to the bottom. For the past 8-9 months, I've been preaching the Word of the Lord at our local church as a youth leader and it came to a point where though I'm preaching the Gospel yet behind all those, I am in the middle of brokenness, accusations and struggling against darlings sins I cannot give up. Thank you so much for being bold in sharing this Word, though I am dirty but because of the grace of God, He transforms me daily and that experience of His grace leads me into celebrating His goodness and faithfulness. The Lord be praised. I am recommitting myself again to the Lord today. He is not done with me yet!

WOW! What an awesome and timely message for me! I am truly learning everyday how to receive God's help and love without feeling or thinking I have to live perfect! My mind is where I battle the most, so I sit in a comfortable spot on the sidelines cheering victory for others. But I'm ready for my own victory and breakthrough to be manifested in my life as I continue to help others. I know it's time. I want to give Perry the benefit of the doubt, and am happy that in 2018 he is continuing to heal of his alcoholism, but honestly "mega-church religion" strikes me as being more about PR these days than about Jesus. There is a very thin line between actual repentance and just good PR and damage control. Perry was never my pastor but I have had a pastor who would not admit his wrongs when people brought them up. This trait of narcissism disqualifies a person more than any screw-up I think. I wonder what a church would be like run by multiple pastors who are able to do it because not all their income comes from the church? Maybe that could be a new trend. Like whoever is preaching that Sunday among like 5 preachers could have a Jag but not because they made the cash from the church. Or maybe they could have an old beater and are highly regarded because of their character and integrity.

every... I mean every thing that comes out of "elevation" is about "ego". I, I, I, and Me. It is anguishing to see these posts praising the twisting of scripture as Gods word. This isn't "rightly dividing" His word and I'm not a "Pharisee" for pointing it out and desiring the narrow path. I left my home church of more than 20 years because our pastor associated and spoke at saddle back, elevation and freaking Lescos barn in Idaho. Furtick has stated at various times that TD Jakes is his favorite pastor. Jakes is a modelist. He teaches and deny's the Trinity.
