I felt bad for the daughter in the 2nd concern. The mum knew very well that her daughter has a depression and yet she still all about herself and focused just on herself instead of trying to communicate more w/ her daughter. Its frustating to watch on how she kept on going w/ how much meditation bring joy to her but didnt prioritise her family happiness

That first concern is really yikes. If the tables were turned, a husband doesn't do anything at home, drinks almost everyday, ditching family to go drink, curses at his wife, pushed a table at her and told her to clean up when she asks about his day, comes home drunk - wakes his wife up and grabs at her clothes when she's not in the mood, and everything else the tone would most definitely change. It seems like she really is an alcoholic and needs help. She can take her stress out by talking to her husband or getting therapy, but channeling that all in to drinking is a bad idea in the long run. She could run into some health problems later in life and also affect her daughter's and husband's mental health if she keeps this up. It creates a bad atmosphere for the kid to grow up in. Hopefully she gets the help she needs and if she's not willing to change (and given help) the husband should really look into divorce.

Addiction is a real problem. Drinking is addictive, and addicts will say anything to keep the habit. That's what no one seems to be addressing here - she has a text book addiction to alcohol that needs proper medical attention.

The thing is, If the wife only got drunk occasionally because she's stressed, he might help her through it, but because she does it so often, it just becomes a source of anger for him. Then he doesn't help her like he maybe could do, which probably makes it all worse for her, so she drinks more, and it's just a vicious cycle. What they both really need, is for the wife to learn how to handle her stress better, (or to switch jobs) and to deal with her probable alcohol addiction.

The first lady needs to find a healthier way to let out her stress. She seems very selfish even with her kid. She wanted to drink so bad that she wouldn't breastfeed her kid. It's ridiculous. The second lady seems to be brainwashed. And for some reason I felt like her "healing" is just on the surface. The thing she thought would solve the problem with her daughter is a becoming the problem. And the fact that she is refusing to listen another meditations tracks just worries me.

Addiction needs to be treated with real medical attention, I'm almost sure she's just addicted to the drug alcohol, and it's got nothing to do with anything else. Not her friends, not her stress, her physical addiction to alcohol.

I get that drinking is part of their culture as it is in most countries but there's this thing called alcoholism. And it seems a significant part of your population suffers from it or are on the verge of becoming alcoholics. I love the country and its traditions, music, culture etc but they seriously need to invest in psychological support for themselves.drinking everyday is not normal . You'd think having such a high suicide rate would wake them up especially with so many well known names suffering from depression but instead of helping they shun or ignore the problem.

Korean institutions and activists know their country. You come off as patronizing; what about your own country's problems with climate change denial or high dropout rates (or low standardized test scores) or high bankruptcy/foreclosure rates or the massive number of people who can't afford to pay off student loans? Every country has urgent, deadly problems, and every country has hardworking people focused on them. I get that you're disgusted by high alcoholism and suicide rates in a country, but realize that lecturing another country about their problems instead of channeling your shock at their problematic areas to take a cold, hard look at your owns is a really bad look. The point of seeing other people's problems on this show and learning about Korea's weak points is to self-reflect about our own problems; lecturing someone else and nagging them to change is always easy.

The strike was over the KBS president Ko Dae Young’s interference and biased control of news and broadcasting during the previous leadership of the country. The KBS labor union was on strike for him to leave KBS. With his removal in the foreseeable future the labor union has decided to start to transition back to regular broadcasting by bringing back some of the variety shows. It's good to see that they are close to reaching their goal.
