Birbal is a Hindi film actor, born on Oct 1, 1938 in Gurdaspur, Punjab (India). His real name is Satendra Khosla. His first movie was Upkar in 1967 and after that he has acted in around 500 movies including Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi movies. Birbal also appeared in the movie Sholay, one of the most popular Hindi movie in Bollywood.Birbal has acted in movies like Dil,Anjaan,Sadma and Fir Kabhi.

I'm running short of words to share my views on this interview. What an amazing human being Birbal Sir is. Irfan Sir may have felt a bit humid while interviewing, but he's one of the most elegant and well mannered interviewer we have seen so far. Birbal Sir is the treasure of cinema history of his time. My best wishes to the actor. Also I recommend all people of my generation i.e. who're in their early Thirties, to listen to this episode with core deep opened heart. Very good interview. At moments Irfan Sahab tried to hurry up or was not in his most composed mood. The sweat played a big part in that. But after seeing all these episodes, one can conclude that reel life is indeed far different from real life.

What I like is Irfan Sahab gives an hour or more. So the interview is detailed and these actors deserve a long interview as we need to know all about them and they also get a chance given the media has not been fair to them. A film and hero looks good only because the support he gets from others.

I think Irfan sahab has a bit of pre-conceived negative notions about non-trained actors or actors who do not have a theater background and are mainly limited to commercial cinema. I guess that is the reason behind his aloofness in this interview.

A fine observation. No wonder his interviewing techniques are praiseworthy but sometimes with the less known personalities there is a hint of condescension. Let us face it...Irfan's stock has risen...a natural arrogance is bound to show in his traits. Hope he gets to find his bearing and commands the respect that he had acquired through his works. I really enjoyed Birbal's incidents he was narrating. Fine man who laughs at every incident he remembers/ narrated. Irfan sahab Soumyakant is right when he says you were being RUDE to Birbal. I know you were probably feeling very hot in Birbals humble/ modest house. I see you were sweating all the time and it was perhaps due to that you were losing your temper.Please dont do it again.
