As Fareed sahib said he is a student and as such he has added in the knowledge of other students through this interview by imparting knowledge. In the same vein Waheed Joyo's argument is also interesting. Since "Ali" is from Arabastan and in sufi traditions Arabic, Persian, and language of the land were mixed together. I feel one can take poetic license to understand it as what would give them more pleasure. i am glad that this interview was conducted and published!

Totally Wrong Explanation of DMAA DAM MAST QAlander, its not from Arabic at all it from Native Language of Sindh where is the Shrine of Qalander Shabaz Dam Means "Saans" the Breath and its just that Qalnder mere saanso mai hai Our Ali meri saanso mai hai how one can say that whole poetry is in Sindhi/Siraiki but word Damaa Dam is from Arabic and its just famous because there isn't any other poetry of Qalander which people can understand as the poetry of Qalander Shabaz is in Persian.
