It is beautiful there! Visited it. My Father in law that passed away had a home built by someone whom studied under Frank Lloyd Wright

The Guggenheim Museum was where that scene from the 90s classic _Men in Black_ where Will Smith as Agent J raced up to the rooftop on foot to catch a Cephalapoid.

Magnificent building , however from my visit it falls flat as a gallery / museum..the building overpowers the art , all that's needed for a gallery is a white box

The building is stunning and evocative, but Lloyd Wright failed when it came to the door design. For such a beautiful, spacious building to be bizarrely choked and restricted by one tiny carousel door is his greatest failure in the design, and has an immediate detraction to the spaciousness of the interior. Its akin to the Palace of Versailles having a tiny trapdoor to enter.

That building looks horrible, and the surface of the walls dont look that good. Sunlight shows panels on it. Im not againts art, but thank God there isnt going to be any Guggenheim museums in Finland

I think it looks fantastic! But out of interest, what buildings do you LIKE? Please show me you have some artistic sense
@JohnnyArtPavlou5 жыл бұрын
Tupetsi, you know it’s a giant handmade sculpture. I’ve noticed those panels many times can you give me the sense of humility about how the thing was created. It’s not perfect. It’s not machine like in real life. It’s a kooky idea and it took a lot of effort to make. It’s not perfect. But it’s an artifact of its time.

Imo, the Guggenheim is an ugly, non symmetric nonsense building filled with modern art made for a dystopian culture. Zero Logos.
