I love the diy air line directly at the spindle. Do you have it connected directly to the air junction box in the back? Do you connect any solenoid to automatically turn the air on/off?

Guhring chuck? Older video so... what do you think of it now? I'm considering this chuck or the Nikken Dream.

It was a Albrecht Uber Chuck, yeah just like the Guhring or Eumge chucks. 20mm size. We've had one or two of the Albrecht's mechanism seize up, or collet stems break off over time. Got our money's worth though, we use them a lot. I have several of the newer Emuge ones too. They do have a program to refurbish, however the ones I had have an older design which isn't used now. Will buy more in future. Great grip and low runout. I like the smaller nose of the holder, easier to get coolant or air to the cutting tool. Can't say how they compare to the Nikken products. Never tried 'em.

@@GRTLRS Yeah, they're all so similar in design (HPC chucks) I wouldn't be surprised if one company were making them and rebranding. 95% of my current stock is shrink, but the reduced damping can limit things. Going to the Nikken sleeve-type milling chucks alleviates that but then you're back to a large nut and reduced cooling at the tool. So, this might be a good solution and I was a bit on the fence, but placed one on order. Thanks

That is awesome! I was looking at a VF-2SSYT pretty hard, but I just couldn't make it (physically) fit.
