I differ to say that the picture is not rosy, every thing goes by reference and word of mouth, no one looks at Data bank i believe, as i have enrolled a month back and cleared the self assessment test on the same day, but not even a single mail came to me so far. See my comments above, and my qualifications, and no looks at the merits but looks for IDs who wont object their actions. This is personal opinion and sorry for saying this.

Nice lecture but some updates in the process 1. Passing marks is 50% 2. In the event of failure waiting period is 24 hours not 15 days. 3. Going through all modules on IICA website is not mandatory. One can directly appear for exam.

Thank for the information. It is important to analyse risk involved in becoming an independent director. What is the sitting fees?

Can go up to 1 lakh (officially) and above (unofficially) in reputed companies. But, petty companies are paying even Rs 5k for each sitting and taking just their signatures to comply with the guidelines of MoCA. That is the bad part. And rather companies should ask the MCA to nominate and they should do it on merits and seniority as well.

@@armreddyifs If a candidate is clearing exams set by MoCA, they should help the listed candidates in nomination. When MCA can make rule of examination, they can opt for making a rule of nomination by MCA.. this is my thought.
