Dude, you don't half get into some crazy stuff... Love it! Converting games to the Tilt 5 - that's really what I wanna see! And this? This just seems to suggest that it's possible! Fingers crossed!

Very cool dude , tutorials for this stuff sometimes hard to find . Tutorials are so helpful to new users on stand alone …. but when they upgrade to pcvr a lot expect it to be just as easy as stand alone and run into the complexity like a wall . That a definite missing part of tutorials I use to help them on FB , luckily by time they get to pcvr a lot have gotten used to quest and it not as bad . There this one type though . Has money , just thought they would try on a whim and BAM they love it and buy everything lol They awesome , but also some get real fatigue trying fig out things . I drop how to run steam on the daily cause they start it up try ONE game and like run to FB and like “ wtf is going on “ . They a big part of who I helpin so hybrid working pretty well and growing pcvr pretty steady . Strait up at least 20 people a day for a year and at least once a day I helping someone get started pcvr 😎 May not be lighting speed but pcvr is growing 😎

Can't wait to hear more about this, especially for watching video content. Do you have to jump through loops to get it to play video in 3D from your PC or external drives? How different is watching SBS movies from watching the flat version with the 3D conversion on the pad? If you could only have one for gaming, would it be this pad or a Tilt 5?

Probably this becuase it's basically a PC so can do more than tilt five. Also 3D movies ported over from my PC to the tablet just work naturally in 3D.

Interesting !! Very cool technology for sure, From a VR gaming perspective. - I can`t really see the point of using this (to play pc games) over a VR headset given the $1000+ price point and the much lower sense of immersion a screen of this size would produce. - On the other hand this does not require wearing anything on the face and that is perhaps more important to some people. - This device would appear to be Tilt 5 killer at the very least. The focus on viewing 2D content in a new way (on this device) is in stark contrast to VR devices. Imagine if Meta had spent some of their billions on developing a perfected "reshade" AI chip that would allow Quest headsets to convert any video input into 3D in realtime making it possible to watch any movie or play any pc/console/steamdeck game in 3D. Would that have made Quest far more widespread and successful ? Clearly YES in my opinion. Some people believe this is one aspect of the functionality of Valve Deckard. If that is true, in addition to it being a PCVR headset (with display port & wireless) this potentially could be a killer product with massive mainstream appeal.

The price was dropped to a much more reasonable 650 although you are right it doesn’t compare to a full headset for immersion. Agree with your other points!

The framerate is probably higher on lume as another positive.

@@Delonge1820 It's 120hz, which matches some VR headsets and is a bit lower than Valve Index at 144hz. But because it's not stretched out by optics, the image looks sharper than basically every VR headset ever made except Varjo.

If it's not too much too ask, can I see productivity software used in this setup? Blender, FreeCAD, Godot. And what would be your advice on remote screen sharing with my colleagues? Most have flat screens, maybe some will buy this tech.

Did you get the game running in a split screen or No split screen?

@@Mymoonization Once the game is showing in SBS on the PC, and you see the SBS mirrored on the Lume Pad 2, you just hold three fingers on the Lume Pad 2 screen and it turns 3D.

@@Mymoonization You may need to update the device using the Leia AppStore to get the newest Leia Service. Without it, the 3D display won’t activate properly.

The Lume pad looks cool, but wouldn't you lose everything being life-size and feeling you're inside the game that you get with a headset.

I have a red hydrogen one phone that they cut off support off but it still has that technology I wonder if I can stream games for my PC through this thing you said reshade and then do it through steam link to my phone in theory it should play since the technology is here on this phone
