I must say aiming feels buttery smooth now at 27sens/800dpi in PUBG, my aiming is much better and I feel very confident now, all thanks to your excellent videos. Usually not everyone has the same taste of mouse sensitivity. Even I have a different taste from his, his sensitivity was set to 180° rotation when his mouse reaches the mousepad edge, meanwhile I usually set it to full 360° rotation sensitivity when my mouse reached the edge.

I put my regular turning sensitivity on 45 my hipfire sens on 33 because i want to be precise wen hipfiring so a slower sens works best for me then regular ads iron sight sensitivity is 38, 2×scope is 38, 4×scope is 40, and 8x is 42, 15×scope is 43 or 44 i forget cuz i rarely find 15×scopes but that seems to feel even for me across the board

I'm just wondering because I got a Zowie FK2 at 800 dpi and for example your General Sensitivity would be way too slow for me when just looking around I would have to pull my mouse 2 or 3 times to get my view where I want it to be. Hello alex - Yes it is the same settings and I also have to lift my mouse 2-3 times looking around. You get used to it. But trust me its worth it - once you get used to it you will improve your aim alot. Happy you liked the guide :)

Best thing to do is to play a different game to get used to it. Team Fortress, Overwatch, Call of Duty, whatever your poison is, try it out. You'll get much more action and practice. Alternatively, there are mouse options that include a thumb button made made especially for lowering the DPI while you hold it. Will probably take a little longer to get used to, due to having an extra action to do for shooting with accuracy, but you don't lose out on having high sensitivity for other segments of your games. Again though, playing a faster game will help you get experience.

Wacky, I used your video to set up my sensitivity in game, and it worked perfect. I recently realized my mouse is set to 1600 DPI... it is currently the lowest it will go. If I am doing ok with my current settings and DPI on my mouse, is it important to get a mouse that has less DPI and redo my sensitivity? Or should I just go with what I got? The question is I guess, does the DPI on the mouse matter as long as the sensitivity and the "360" or "180" look you describe in this video can be achieved? I am confused now.

It's not a problem that you have high DPI if your actual sensitivity in the game is low (then you'd just adjust the sensitivity very low inside the actual game). There are however a "sweet spot" for most sensors on different gaming mice. Usually this sweet spot is between 400 and 1200 dpi. In practice this has very little effect though.

Thanks for the reply, this helps huge. I am playing at 1600 DPI on the mouse, but I used your video to tune my settings so the sensitivity in game are a lot lower than most peoples (low to mid 20s. This leads to second question; the mouse is the Zelotes T90 Spider Inception. It's a cheap gaming mouse; with the lowest possible DPI setting of 1000; I know this mouse is cheap but do you think it's hurting my gameplay in any way? I don't know how the actual physical mechanical part of a mouse can be better than another? Should I replace it? If you were me what would you do? 1. Get a new mouse and lower the DPI and raise sensitivity? 2. Lower my current mouse to 1000 (lowest hardware setting) and raise sensitivity? 3. Stick with what I am doing now? (1600 DPI and extra low sensitivity) Option 3 is with your setting suggestions, I had significant improvement to my aim and game play, bit I am wondering if it would be even more improved with lower DPI and higher sensitivity settings? and or a better quality mouse?

Hi cris, sorry for the late answer! It no longer works to disable mouse smoothing in the gameusersettings file (they disabled that), but if it still worked I would definitely disable it to get a more responsive aim.

Hm, if 1 cm movement on your mouse pad always results in the same degree of rotation in-game, isn't it difficult for you to aim using a 15x scope? Maybe that isn't your goal, but that is how I interpreted it :P.

You would be absolutely right, but the standardization of sensitivity only applies to general, targeting and scoping sensitivity. The other scopes would be different in sensitivity (lower)

dpi 600 is a nice medium for fps - just have a look at your in game sensitivity and adjust that to get the 180 degree field you need. i use 800 dpi for fps

nice video. just picked up the zowie fk2 mouse. Been trying to pinpoint my aiming settings. Still not used to this mouse yet. Since I can't switch dpi settings on the fly. the stupid button is on the bottom of the mouse. I'm used to my old mouse where it was located on the top behind scroll wheel. Hey Izzy Gucci, Thanks for your comment! I use the zowie fk1, and that also has the dpi button on the bottom of the mouse. But I think that's because Zowie thought that we shouldn't be changing our dpi on the fly anyway, which I kinda agree to. If you get used to having the same dpi all the time with no mouse acceleration and have your sensitivity adjusted properly and similarly to other games you play - then I am 100% sure you'll see superb improvements to your aim. WackyJacky101 Well back when I was playing bf3 and bf4 while driving a tank I always had to turn the dpi up in order to move the turret faster. Plus I also got used to having slower dpi for further range fights and faster dpi for close range. That's just always the way I used to play. But now I need to get used to playing on one setting. It makes sense for being consistent. There are days that I would have good fire fights and turn up on top and then there are times that I would suck and shoot like a noob. Muscle memory is the key factor it seems.

You can change the sensitivity for every zoom level, so there is no reason to use dpi changes while playing. You also could do that in BF3 and BF4, by the way, change vehicle sensitivity. That's how I managed to stomp every other tank driver and shoot planes and helicopters from the sky; increase the turret sensitivity.

i been using fk2 forever and i loved it, but this thing is very sensitive and it will produce you some issues in the future (sensor wise) for example when your black mousepad starts losing color and being greyish or something then the tracking will start having issues also the dpi button and the thing that this mouse has no software/macros make it a pain for most games but in terms of ergonomic size and design this mouse will be still the best ever used i have a new mouse now that i still cant get used to it

starting at around 3:00, you're normalizing against the width of your mouse space? so that a full lateral mouse move is equal to 180 in game? this must force you to lift and reset your mouse a lot? i assume you're saying that this is worth the trade off in aim?

I'm confused, I've watched this video and checked out the 2019 pubg sensitivity guide in which are the numbers the pros use. And trying their settings seems really really slow. In fact I have to lift my mouse 3 times to even do a 180 and I have a pretty large area for my mouse pad. I guess my settings before were 1400 DPI and I was using 44 for general sensitivity and I was able to do 180s smoothly. So I'm not sure if I should even attempt to use anything from these guides other than the ability to do a 180 turn. I'm finding for a full auto spray using 800 dpi I need 46 2x & 3x, 55 4x, 64 6x... Not sure what I could be doing wrong if people are using such low settings and being able to be accurate.

Hello Frosty, Windows mouse settings are 6/11 sensitivity (default sensitivity in windows) Enhance pointer precision = disabled. (this is mouse acceleration in windows) Your DPI can be on whatever you like, it doesn't matter as long as you move the correct amount of degrees when moving your mouse :) But if you want a number; I use a DPI of 800. I have no mouse software installed on my computer. Good luck with your mouse journey. So you set up same angluar speed for ADS and hipfire, but different speed how much screen space you are covering. You end up with different feel. Therefore I figure you mess up your aim.
