most of the information is based on biography of Vijay Anand written by Anita Padhye.
lyrics writer for guide was hasrat jaipuri in the beginning but he made some mistake and dev anand got angry .
finally songs were written by Shailendra.
vijay anand used many sets to shoot piya tose naina lage re.
tere mere sapne ab ek rang hain ..the whole song is shot in only 3 shots .
waheeda rehman used to start her dance practice in the morning at 3 am before one month of the shooting for the film .
kishore kumar was not in india when songs for guide were recorded.but after his return one special song was recorded and added in the film ,that was gata rahe mera dil .

Sadly, this brilliant score by team - Shailendra, Sachin - which is even today, in 2023, has million followers, didn’t win the Filmfare Awards. Guide remains a Guide for wannabe music composers. The songs had unique features, all of them. For example, Katon se kheench ke ye anchal, starts with ‘Antara’ not mukhda, as normally done. An SD fan once, always an SD fan. 🙏🙏🙏

फिल्म 'गाईड' का गाना 'पिया तोसे नैना लागे रे' पहले फिल्म 'देवदास' (दिलीप-सुचित्रा, दि. बिमल रॉय, सं. एस. डी. बर्मन) के लिए लिखा गया था और इस गाने की शूटिंग भी की गई थी. पारो (सुचित्रा सेन) घागर लेकर पनघटपर आती है. वहाँ उसकी नजरानजर देवदास (दिलीप) के साथ हो जाती है और पार्श्वभूमीपर यह गाना शुरु हो जाता है. फिल्म 'देवदास' में शामिल इस गाने की विडीओ मैंने देखी है.

Very much disappointed. There is no mention about Rafisaab's outstanding singing. When KK was known for Dev Anand's voice, Rafi saab sung "Tere Mere Sapne", "Din Dhal Jaye" & "Kya se Kya". Rafi saab has taken these songs to an extra-ordinary level, specially "Din Dhal Jaye". Expected that you will mention these in "Guide ka music"!!!

S.D. Burman un dino bimar tha is liye guide ke gane actually Jai deo ne banye hai jo in dino SD ke asstt the. Gane sun kar hi aap samajh sakte hai ke ye SD ke bas ki baat nahi thi except the song gaya rahe mera dil jis me aur dusre gano ke class me zameen asman ka farak hai.
