Sometimes I get and accept help with I need it,but when staff at walmart only tell me that the items that I are in another isle or far away doesn't help me out at all but sometimes somebody will walk me to where the item or items are located in the store and I thank them for helping me out

Pro trick: you can watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.

In the case of one of my friends, here's NOT what to do. Don't grab them by the arm and drag them across the street. Literally one of my friends waiting to cross the street and some old guy came up and grabbed him and dragged him across the wrong intersection. Both him and the lady who saw it screamed at him to stop but he wouldn't.

Definitely now totally blind persons are capable to do much more in orientation and mobility. They even can differentiate colors, books on their colors and authors, cars on their color and models, etc. And to locate any needed object around, even in new environment. And walk confidently along roads and paths on their own without canes or guides.

I am visually impaired, too. When going through doors or up and down stairs without a rail. Allow person to stand behind guide with hand on a shoulder. They can sense the descent and ascent while moving around.

@@martypedigo8185 that is actually the wrong way to do that you never wanna stand behind somebody and be behind them as they are going up and downstairs never ever ever. Do you do that. The right mobility training is let the person who is guiding you go through first they will open the door or in the end or you can actually take your hand and push or pull the door open so it doesn’t hit either one of you so let them go through the door first, and then you hold the door for yourself as you switch your hand and then switch it back to take their elbow as far as going up and downstairs. You never wanna do that that’s unsafe you feel them going up or downstairs and you keep your guide to your side or if it’s a or railing, you can actually go downstairs yourself or upstairs yourself. Absolutely that is fine, but to have somebody stand behind you and put your shoulder on them, your hand on their on the guide shoulder or I don’t know what you said, but it was absolutely wrong. You never ever have your guide behind you as they are going up and downstairs you and the guide need to be together not in front like a train you need to be beside them as you are going up and downstairs and through doors. I don’t know if anybody has taught you the right mobility, but what you said in this comment was absolutely wrong. The guide should actually put their elbow behind them to direct you to go behind them to go through a door. It’s not the guide going behind you and you put your hand. They put their hand on your shoulder that doesn’t work that is not the right way. If the stairs are too narrow, then yes the guide has to go in front of you to go up the stairs or down the stairs or if they stay behind you in that fact, but they never put their hand on your shoulder I have to say there’s some blind people and some visually impaired people have very very bad mobility training and this is the wrong way to go about it like I said you never have the guy stand behind you going up or down the stairs and or the door and have them push you through the door, that’s not the right way!!

I think the agencies for the blind need to have training for the medical personnel who should know how to work with them .I told my class mates at Ultimate medical academy. I just got my Associates degree in health and human services. What about turnstyles and those streets which go in a circular manner. I need to change my top.

Some of this guiding techniques are now becoming outdated, by the day. For it is not included here, the walking technique using and or relying on gps navigation. I myself is a visually impaired person. that is why i know, what i am talking about.

Some of this is not true. The visual impaired thing is not totally blind. It is some vision so you can not say that a blind person is V.I.p. A visually impaired person has some vision. A blind person is totally blind like myself. I am not visually impaired. I am totally blind. So we have to whatch our verbiage when we are talking.
