Green hydrogen would be a more efficient and economical solution if you take into account there are 23 million natural gas boilers (1.4 million oil boilers) and few people can affort £14,000+ to convert their homes to efficient ASHP. It would cost £2,500 to switch boiler to 'hydrogen ready'. The government is considering converting the nation's gas network to hydrogen.
