Had an idea while you were mentioning support items: You think absolution/ team magis would be a good combo? Two instances of team cc imm, one on ult command & the other as a def proc. Maybe spice it up as a geb to be real toccic lol.

I gave a Masters player Nox a hard time 2 games in a row by building Absolution, Magi's Shelter and Beads while playing Nike in solo. They had a lot of CC in their comp and it helped tremendously to give my team CC immunity when they kit dumped while I was nearby. It also comes in clutch if they have a god like an Ares, you just ult to cleanse everyone near you and save your allies for the cost of an ult and an item slot.

I agree with @prodlCYN, for solo upgrading tp early is a must so you reduce the cool down. If you need a phantom shell, let's say against an Odin and Yemoja, upgrading early has huge value. Sometimes I don't even upgrade my relics until the end of the game pretty much. If I'm getting cc'ed a lot or ganked by a Fenrir or whatever a lot I'll upgrade my beads early.

For supports as soon as possible usally or when youre comfortable gentics usally says after thebes upgrade first relic for the power spike. For other roles depedns solo loves upgrading teleport early for the cooldown. Usally how it goes get blink 2 asap for the cooldown.

Tanks generally have at least 3.2k hp, so even with 2 estaff procs you'll get the full 9% from reaver, though it has less max hp to scale off of and therefore deals less damage. Even though estaff lowers reaver damage, the stats on the item are too broken to pass up. It deal 8% of the enemy's current hp as true damage whilst also lowering their maximum hp and giving it to you. A single proc on a tank with 3500 hp will make the item give you 430 hp. 2 more procs on that same tank will lower their hp to 2725 and give you a massive 925 hp increase (which is enough hp to make any mage meet the requirement for the full 9% from soul reaver, which is another reason to build it other than shredding tanks).

@@MoshiMoshiDoppio Also, not mentioned above, is that Soul Reaver damage is affected by magical protections since it is technically a tick of magical damage. So even though it might do 9% of their max hp as damage, the actual amount is less than that if the target has protections. Whereas EStaff literally lowers the max hp based on it's total, meaning it is true damage, and is not mitigated by protections. So EStaff is much more effective on tanks than soul reaver is. Soul Reaver is better across the board, however, as it isn't capped at a certain number of stacks, and can be stacked per ability, and can be stacked on as many targets as are hit, rather than just the max of 3 by Estaff. (edit, by 'stacked' I mean while they do receive a 50% damage application for 3 seconds after being hit, you can continue to apply damage without limit, and this also applies for abilities that do a lot of small hits of damage like Kuku's tornado or Poseidon's whirlpool. Estaff only procs 3 times and then is effectively on cooldown.)

I think people need to also learn simply how to build. Their first step should be copying what people who know better tell them, the second step could be you going over why each item is built and in what order. Obviously it's meta dependent but talking about why mages get % pen as early as they do and whatnot could be very helpful. Maybe after a game you could do a builds breakdown, point out why stuff did/didn't work and what they could have done better.
