Hi Pedro I use this system www.airetaventure.com/fr/512846-44787-earcom-micro-ecouteur-mains-libres-hs-pro-s-icom.html#/517250-version-hs_4000 but I'm not 100% happy with it because the plug is not angled and the PTT is very fragile, that's why I didn't specify the model in the video. I'm looking for a better solution so I can make a more specific video someday. Thanks for watching!

Thanks a lot @joannadigrigoli for this very detailled video! May I add one remark and two questions? 1. I would recommend anyone without tow experience, even an experienced pilot, to do a few practice tows at home in easy conditions.Towing is not very hard, but it feels very weird in the beginning and the gilder is not self stabilizing in its flight direction during tow. Doing your first tow in windy+gusty conditions in Brazil under pressure is a lot of avoidable stress. 2. Where does this obsession with cobra launch of the Brazil tow operators come from actually? I tried both and in gusty conditions when a gust hits in the worst moment you get pulled hard towards the wing. I prefer to get pulled straight instead of side-ways. 3. Is there no reliable tow-operation without the 250 EUR daily price tag? You would be hard pressed to find anyone charging more than 20-25 EUR per tow in Northern Europe. And sure they may need to ship the payout winch, still that is massive. You probably want to stay more than a week and not rush things. It takes time to get adjusted to special flatland conditions.

Hi! I'm glad you liked the video. Regarding your remark/questions: 1. That's exactly what I suggest, that pilots go with prior towing experience so they won't add another new thing. It's enough to be flying in a new place and if they also add something new like towing, things could go wrong. 2. I've also tried both techniques and what I liked about the cobra is that you're not 180 degrees from the rope. Since I carry a lot of ballast, the less footwork I do, the better. 3. Remember that the €250 also includes hotel and multiple tows, not just one. The time I decided to save some money, the operator would do everything so you wouldn't get towed again, they didn't have enough drivers/cars to spend the night out, and the winches were sketchy. Let's not even talk about the untrained tow operators that, as I found out at the end of the trip, were "training" with us, clients! So basically, I paid to be a guinea pig. So, I didn't mind paying more this time because their service was what I expected and more. You're also agreeing with me on the fact that it's better to stay more than a week. The aim of this and all of my videos is sharing my experience and what has and hasn't worked for me. I always encourage pilots to take whatever they might find useful and could work for them, never to take anything as something they must do. Thanks for your remarks and for watching!
