My lock is missing the cable hole through the mounting plate! As a result, the cable is frayed and I am having to wrap new insulation around it.....must have been corrected later. Yale is sending me a new improved design mounting plate even if my lock was sold in 2013! Fantastic service....

I wish they could make a better deadbolt. I am installing one now and notice that there is gap between deadbolt and barrel. Compare to schlage dealbolt, Yale could have done better job

Make sure you have the key in hand, it locks when it closes. Think it’s about 15 seconds delay. I forgot my key and the code so I was locked out. 😅

I try to install my Yale assure lock but it’s not right because the pin pad inside the house if I want the pin pad outside it’s not working the motor in the lock turn wrong way it can turn right way with pin pad outside it need to install upside down I can’t figure out how to install pin pad outside house and working.. can someone help me ? Thanks

I read that you have to do a factory reset and it will try turning both ways and register the appropriate way.

Why? Aside from the fact that I had to widen the existing hole in a door that has metal layers on each side, the rest of the installation & setup went fine. I even got the August Connect to work.

My door opens from right to left and I had my Yale in a door that opened the other way around so now is not opening when I need to open how can I change direction

@@jesusrosario5776 Once you perform a factory reset and install the lock, it will try both options and remember the correct one - until the next reset

This lock and the included instructions suck. The "long" bolts DO NOT go in all the way. Also, this thing does not line up straight.

The longest bolts are NOT for regular 1 3/4 doors. You should specify that in the video instead of telling us to use the longest bolts. For regular 1 3/4 doors you have to use the medium length bolts or you will smash the screen out of the touch pad. Jesus christ would that have been that hard to specify in the instructions?
