08:08 This was an excellent video but just to let viewers know. That hike down to the edge of Cavell Pond is a CLOSED section. Yes, people still go down as in this video but make no mistake there are plenty of signs stating it is closed. Most likely you'll get a warning but if you give attitude they can evict you from the park and even fine/jail you. I've noticed Parks Canada doesn't really mess around once it gets to that stage and hefty fines are given out. For me, I'm a visitor to Canada so do my best to respect their laws and restrictions. Plus, if I did earn a fine/jail time it can also cause me to be denied entry into Canada itself. No thanks, I'd like to return.

Thanks for pointing that out. At the time of our visit, it was fully open. Please follow the posted sign when you visit!

I hope people do not think that is the Icefields Parkway road at 0:37 which you are talking about at the same time. That is the private park-approved road for the all-terrain snow-coach tour buses on the Athabasca Glacier. The I.P. is a public 2 lane paved highway.

You are right. I didn't mean to imply that. However, the site (which needs a paid tour) is next to the Icefield Parkway.

Feels like just yesterday that one of those busses rolled on it’s way to the glacier killing a number of vacationers

Hello, Just wondering which attractions need tickets/reservations to visit please advise thanks, Dee
@JourneytoAllNationalParks Жыл бұрын
All of the places need the Parks Canada ticket for the National Parks. Depending on how many parks you go to and how long you will stay n each park, the cost varies. ( depends on if you want to just go to Jasper or other parks like Banff and Yoho nearby). Columbia Icefield tour is extra cost. Boat tours are also extra. Most other places are free once you get into the park.
