Slow down, Simplify, and Enjoy Life! How do you slow down in this fast-paced world?
@kellyrogers92962 ай бұрын
As a mother of four daughters who are now 25 to 33, your comment about learning the value of the little things only when each one of your children flew the nest has been a sorrow that I have felt and wanted to share with others younger than me. I’ve lost time on unimportant things… today I do treasure my time with my adult children and boy what a lesson we’ve learned in this busy culture of ours. Young women young mothers listen slow down don’t sign up for everything. Don’t equate your value with your busyness. It is a curse and it is a lie, slow down look at your children in their eyes, smile when they enter a room ,sit down in the afternoon and have that cup of tea you do not have to be going going going all the time to prove that you are worthy!! You are a treasure!❤

I am a mom to one son. He is 38. He moved out 2 years ago. Now he is a newlywed to the most precious young woman. I have survived Stage Two Esophageal Cancer, Last December I went into respiratory failure because of living in an old house full of black mold. I did a MAJOR declutter and moved into a 2 bedroom apartment. I actually enjoy getting up and cleaning and tidying up my house now. I’m going back to Bible Study and studying at home. I still have bouts with anxiety and depression but it’s getting better. I feel so much peace. ❤️🙏🏻✝️

Connie, as I embark on this next chapter in my life (69 and recently widowed and living alone in Utah), my aim is intentional, slow living. I want my whole life to be a living meditation. I often put on your videos and listen to them as a podcast as I walk or garden or cook and find your soothing comforting words of wisdom inspiring.

Dear Connie, I am deeply grateful to you for what you do, for your contribution to people, their well-being, and mental health. For a very long time, I lived with the feeling that I was very strange. I am also a minimalist, the only one in my circle. Neither in my family nor among my acquaintances, friends, and colleagues is there a single minimalist. No one lives the way I do. And despite the fact that minimalism and slow living are the only possible options I have chosen for my life to feel comfortable, I still feel a bit like an outcast. But after discovering your channel, I realized that such people exist! There are few of us, but we do exist! And that means a lot to me. I will continue on this path because, in my opinion, minimalism and slow living are simply incredibly cool!

I like what you said how it is not possible to give what you don't have. I feel that is what my mom does. She is 74 and has a very full schedule always but is worn out and says how tired she is. I am always telling her to take a week to just rest and not see people, but she doesn't do it. Then she tells me she doesn't have time to clean her cluttery house. . .but she does if she makes time to. I have offered to help her too. I love nature's beauty so much! I love the walking stick! How cute!

I LOVE this video! I can relate to literally everything! Thank you so much! I started slowing down as I was eating last week and started to take note of every flavor and texture. I enjoyed it so much more than I would have if I just gobbled it up! So, I am starting to make slow living a lifestyle and, hopefully someday, I can work for myself and not for anyone else. THANKS AGAIN!

Your videos on slow living are absolutely captivating. I admire your dedication to sharing such a unique lifestyle with us all. I'm still at the beginning of my own channel where I also explore similar themes, but with just a handful of views and 50 subscribers, it can be disheartening at times. Seeing your content gives me hope and motivation to continue creating and sharing my own experiences. Thank you for the inspiration and keep up the fantastic work!

Having A busy life as a single mom, and as a preschool teacher, peace is something hard to find. Lately I have been saying no to a lot of things and some people don't understand. I am craving nature and peace. As soon as I find a moment it seems an adult child is on the phone. I know they need an ear to listen to their troubles, but ...... They are still in that hurry scary mode. They don't understand yet. At times I feel I must fight for my peace. But I'm going to keep trying for it.
