If total export is more than Import (Peak+Offpeak), then the bill will not be calculated

Rates are the same for all DISCOs in Pakistan. KE uses different methods for the calculation of the bill.

Aoa can you please tell if in the first month e.g january my total import is more then export, bill will be generated but is it must to pay that bill at the end of 1st month? or Can I save more units in the next month to adjust it with the extra units I consumed in the first month?

If the bill is +ve, you have to pay before due date. If bill is negative, you don't have to pay.

Please check lower part of your bill for previous reading. Jun bill will be final as the quarter end.

Units produced and not consumed in-house are exported immediately to the DISCO

@@LifeStylebyJaved1958 it means that firstly our solar system directly runs our electricity load of the house and anything above that is continuously exported to the wapda. But as we know that solar power generation keeps on fluctuating throughout the day due to a little cloud or other factors. So, in this case how can we have a stable running of our daytime electrical appliances as they will keep on shifting from direct solar supply of our house to the wapda intake of the power to cover the deficiency? I mean that all the day time we will be switching into export and import mode again and again? Please Explain in detail.

Peak hors is your consumption from 5 to 11 PM (4 hours at a time). Details are at the back of your electricity bill. For Eg, for the summer of 7 to 11 PM and so on

Aoa, from where can I check the tariff of buying rate from solar? Also, in the middle of any quarter if the bill is positive. Should we pay it right away or wait till the end of quarter to see if it should be paid or not?

You can check it on the NEPRA's website. It is an SRO. You have to if bill is positive otherwise you are to pay with penalty.

It is a local arrangement. Sorted out between landlord and tanet. You can make any arrangements for off-peak but must charge peak hours as per tariff You are paying.

In 3 phase meter. From 5 to 11 p.m., it is peak hours. Others are off peak hours Peak hours rate is 41.xx Off peak hours rate is 35.xx

AOA Sir. Very informative video. I want to know a few things: 1- if my bill is negative in 1st month, it will not be calculated and just moved forward likewise in 2nd month and final bill of all three months (net export and import) will be calculated in 3rd month of quarter? 2- in the last month of quarter when bill is to be finalised, if i’m still in negative after final calculation, my exceeded units will be credited? 3- after the quarter ends, what happens to my exceeding units, (credited units) will I be able to use them in next quarters as well or does the unit system reset after the quarter ends? It would be great if you can answer this in detail as I cannot get reliable information from anywhere regarding these. JazakAllah

Aoa, good explanation. Sir in description, you mentioned name of KE. Is this calculation procedure also applicable to KE? But in actual their calculation method entirely different. If you can share your WhatsApp number, I can share some bills of KE. I think KE method not correct & against consumers interest. Is there any exception to KE for calculating net metering bills?
