Hi mate, just found your channel. I've been playing a similar amount of time to you and trying to reduce my handicap (currently 17.4). This is great advice, I'm working on my swing path at the moment and this video is great tips for anyone to work on. I've been lucky enough to have a few Trackman sessions so if anyone watching this gets a chance I highly recommend it to get some data for swing path and club face. Keep up the good work! (I've played Rushmore a few times it's a great course).

Just preset a a slightly closed face before swinging worked for me. It also taught me to draw the ball aswell when needed

That's a top video with top tips. Thanks for sharing. I returned to golf last year after a very long break and the feeling has completely gone (not helped by breaking both wrists while I wasn't playing for years!) The mission this year is to get back to mid-teens handicap. Subscribed as your advice in this video is as solid as any I've seen out there. It's also more comforting to hear it coming from somebody not playing off scratch. Happy New Year to you.

@@HicksGolf it’s all the small things I got down to 5 earlier this year then floated between 6-8 and now at 6 I use shot scope I was using Arccos for awhile . I’m losing strokes on short game so practicing that is on the list

​@@bknoxx What made you move from Arccos to Shot Scope? I'm doing a video soon with some relation to Arccos. Yes I can imagine once you get down the the low single figures, really every single thing matters. If I could be an expert at anything, it would be short game, it's the thing I strive to be the best part of my game, so if you're low handicap now and short game isn't your best, I bet you could definitely get low with better short game!

@@HicksGolf i save my strokes off the tee and putting.. i really like arccos but 155$ a year is expensive and shot scope is free.. but ive only played 4 rounds with SC so far might end up using arccos again i dont know.. shot scope has so many stats it keeps track of which is nice
