Ive just got back from Iceland, i had the best time. My advice is to be early for everything. Eg our pick up for the airport was 4pm, it said to get to the pickup point 10 -15 min before that, but we actually got picked up at 3.40 a full 20min before the allocated time. All the trips were extremely punctual.

Snow is rare in October in the city to be honest - but it's definitely up in the mountains and of course on the glacier! So October can be a great time to come 🥳

I had the opportunity to visit Iceland in April on the first day of Summer. It was definitely quite cold compared to the weather here in my Brazil, of course 😂 I believe it is a very interesting time to visit different parts of the country with a certain level of comfort. The days are beautiful during the summer in this country (Icelandic summer, not European summer 😁).

What are the chances of seeing the Northern lights in January or February?
@WakeUpReykjavik.3 күн бұрын
With the Northern Lights being a natural phenomenon, there is no way to say how much the chances are since it depends season by season and day by day - that is why our Northern Lights tour never decide if they go out or not until the day out!

We were in Iceland earlier this December. We booked 2 tours through Wake up Reykjavík. The Golden Circle small group tour which was delivered by the company EastWest and the south coast with Glacier hike which was delivered by Holiday Tours. Both great but the glacier hike was stunning. Iceland in Winter is magical. We stayed at Center Hotels Arnarhvoll and are happy to recommend, the views across the waterfront were amazing and the staff were so helpful.

Is the food tour also good for a vegetarian?
@Ces1um16 күн бұрын
I was just there myself. I’m not sure about any food tour, but I can speak more broadly. Iceland eats a lot of meat and fish. They do grow their own vegetables in greenhouses (technically hothouses) and it is served ridiculously fresh. Because it’s grown locally the vegetables you eat today may have only been harvested yesterday. It’s quite good. The only issue you might run into is a lack of wide variety. I did see vegetarian options in every restaurant I went in- but not a huge selection. You’ll definitely find something though.
@DebbieThackray8 күн бұрын
I did the Reykjavik Food tour in May and one stop was their famous hotdog and all other stops were either fish or lamb. If I remember correctly, you have an option if you are vegetarian. You just need to let them know upon booking.

Do you guys only cater to American tourists? You should probably put Celsius as well. It's what 96% of the world's population uses.
@johnf468014 күн бұрын
Worse than that their Icelandic tour guides fancy themselves experts on America and our politics and lecture about it. They spread conspiracy theories like they are facts. You stood find a different company.
@Costa200813 күн бұрын
We the Americans are the ones that visit the most and spend the most .. learn to use google lol
@dimetronome13 күн бұрын
@Costa2008 I followed your advice and looked it up. While it's true that the US is the top source of tourists to Iceland, they account for only 28% of the tourism market share (source: Icelandic Tourist Board). This means that 72% of tourists to Iceland use Celsius.
