My first two implants were around 2003 long before this existed. Last year I needed two more implants and one was very tricky to place. Without 3D imaging, it simply would not have been possible as it needed to be precisely placed to ensure it was correctly in the bone. It's amazing how much the technology has grown in 2 decades and it is a blessing we have this technology today.

I am from Europe and all these treatments are too expensive for me... there is no way that I can travel to USA to get this treatment, but the worst was that I had in my mind that this is unacceptable treatment... My dentist sent me already few times to visit dental surgeons for checking and treatment, but I was worried that it is too painful, too dangerous, too scary... I have to say that God really opened my mind with these videos and showed me, that He wants to lead me through this and it would not be scary... :D And now I am even excited, filled with the joy and peace of the Holy Spirit. I have alredy got CT scan which is showing also problems with bone lost... but I have total peace that God is with me and He will sort it out. I am not worried anymore and I trust to my dental surgeon that whatever he will decide that is needed for me, that it will be ok. When I saw these videos it showed me that this type of treatment could be possible for me, but when I saw you praying, it totaly blowed my mind and now I know that this is where the Lord is with me and he will solve everythink. :) God bless you :)

I had a oral surgeon who cleaned out a infection where I was going to have an future implant put but he decided to clean it out and put the implant in that same day. I’m not an oral surgeon but I thought that was a real bad idea and it was. That implant caused so many problems, numbness in my lips, chin, pain and discomfort then eventually the loss of the implant. That implant wanted out of my mouth so badly, one night while taking a shower I was standing there just letting warm water fill my mouth to relieve the ache it was giving me, the implant literally started rising up from the depths of my jaw and I spit it out seconds later. It was the craziest most unbelievable thing I think I ever experienced, in the shower anyway.

Why so long?? Thanks!!
@trev1005 жыл бұрын
All the video's I'm seeing from other dentists about implants look like they're being done freehand. It seems to make obvious sense to use a guide ring but you're the first I've seen using it. How can someone possibly line up an implant perfectly without a guide? It looks like you kinda get one shot at placing the implant, wouldn't you want something that's foolproof?
@rickdaurora73364 жыл бұрын
Yes.
@Jacksonabean2 жыл бұрын
Guided is always a good option when you can. For large cases with significant bony reduction it can be tough to use a guide because we have to change the superficial landmarks. Just know that you can grab a radiograph after the first twistdrill to confirm angulation and placement before you enlarge to the implant size. It's not hard if you've done enough of them.

For each of my implants, I had to have a driver & was given 2 pills to take, one pill half hour before arriving & the other pill I took at the office, it knocked me out once in the chair & I didn't wake up till the whole procedure was over, this was to set the long shank into the gum, (don't know the tenicnal name for it) then I went home to heal for 6 months.

Do you have to get the gums recut when it heals ? I did yesterday and my gums are swollen and the teeth hurt

I went to my dentist for days ago to get some implants put in, and he absolutely refused to put an implant below a tooth that I have that natural , he said it because there was too much soft bone in the area and would not place it .

If I have a back tooth that has moved down would Invisalign push it back up?

Hey, my name is Trey too and next week I'll be getting an implant on the exact same tooth as this guy. Different dentist though as I live in H-Town, Texas(aka Hustle Town USA). Great video though and very informative. If I lived in the Springfield area, I would certainly visit this dentist's office.

I didn't see hand washing or sanitizing, even after petting the dog. Yes there was gloves being changed, and clothes being touched with those fresh gloves. Just an observation that makes me hesitate placing you in my top three.... I'll be watching for more obvious sanitation and cleanliness.

@@veejackson9515 Can you imagine a video with all of the hand washing we do in it? That would be boring. Trust the results and the process. The mouth is the sewer. ;)

Do you do implants for just one tooth in the front? I know its not recommended because of aesthetics but I don't want to compromise my other teeth.
@InnovativeDentalofSpringfield5 жыл бұрын
We do this all of the time. ;)
@sl49834 жыл бұрын
I've wondered that too. Of course they do it all the time but we still ask that don't we :)

How amazing to hear a dentist say that most times you don't need grafting. How refreshing. Cause like, if you need grafting, you're getting surgery right? It kind of defeats the purpose?

My wife “71” years had 4 molars extracted 1 1/2 years ago. Bottom jaw. 3 one side and 1 opposite. Had bone graphs on all. She would need implant, abutment and crown. What are we looking at - great video great information &technology.

This looks rather clean. With my procedure, I couldn't wait until the assistant stopped dabbing all the blood. I was laying there like, geeze would you please get out of my mouth! Lol. I had one done on my front tooth, so maybe there's more blood in that area or something, idk. Of course there was some blood in this video, but overall very clean and i'm very impressed!

We love your videos and the quality content that you are putting out. I was wondering if you would be willing to share where you get your implant models from? We are wanting to educate our patients on the benefits of implants and how they work, we would like to get some educational models to use. If you could let us know or send us in the right direction we would appreciate it.

Thanks so much for watching. I am really glad that you are finding it enjoyable. The models that I have are from the Hybridge implant system that I place.

My daughter, age 24, just had 15 implants done 12 days ago. They extracted her teeth and her 3 remaining wisdom teeth and put the implants and temporary teeth all in the same day. Her bone was all good and she didn't have any infection. 6 months or so and they will put her permanents in. My question is whether it is normal for her to still have excruciating pain in her lower left jaw and what could be the cause of this. She wakes up crying in pain. Her surgeon didn't seem concerned but I am a little worried. I haven't seen any implant stories that mention this.

Congratulation for this clip. There are almost 5 months sice i had 4 implants. Because of your clip, I imagine what my doc did in my mouth ... so never is late to find what happend ... :) I am a little bit nervous because I have bruxism and I am waiting to visit my dentist to find out if my bone has healed completely. It also will be a new surgery because my implants are "hidden" in my gums as a protection against bruxism. I trust my doc and I thik this is important. Success.

Hello Dr O, Wonderful to watch your video👏👏 & the work that u have to offer for TODAY implant that is less painful than the traditional one. How much is the pricing for 1 or 2 implants under the 3d approach?? If a patient coming from out of state for the procedure do we need to recuperate overnite or we can travel back home the same day?? Do u accept installments plan if we cant pay up the whole amount and?? & Can we just get a follow up with our own local dentist & hopefully everything will turn out smoothly.. If we do decide to stay & visit while in town can we get any discounts on hotel if mentioned we are here to visit Dr.O?? Thank you in advance for answering my questions. MRS Pham. 🌞☀️🌝👌
