Then what is an option if one doesn't get a crown and the tooth isfractured?

cant imagine going here for a regular cleaning and xray exam. Probably run you near $10k out of pocket. Nothing in this office is cheap so expect to be charged out the ass soon as you walk in the door. Im sure though you can grab a free plate of wings/pizza on the way out lol

I'm going to have to agree nothing is better than your natural teeth, the more of the tooth structure you are removing to put on crowns. The weaker the tooth becomes. If you want to change the cosmetic aspects get braces or even veneers. Shaving your teeth down to nubs to put on crowns is absolutely ridiculous. But hey don't trust me you'll be back in 10 years 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for this! Right off the bat - those 24 hour teeth look CRAPPY. They're far too white & scream FAKE! Not to mention that a person's gums are terribly swollen after even one extraction. That's my opinion - now going to listen to the expert!!!

I have a superficial crack in my front tooth and my dentist said if he does a veneer it will fall off and want me to crown both front teeth. I'm not a dentist. However, I have met so many dentist over the years like 15 years. I have a front tooth with big filling in front. They told me that veneers aren't good. It's weak! It's also very bad for people who are grinding their teeth during sleep. In the span of 15 years, all of them recommended crown. Finally after waiting 15 years, I'll do the crowns in 2025.

Hey Doctor, my mom had a "hollywood smile" done by an overseas dentist when she went in for routine work. It is a long story, but she was sedated and it was done against her will. I really do not want to get into that. They shaved her teeth and did root canals on everything to her molars and then crowned the teeth. It was excruciating and the saddest thing is the teeth were perfect prior. She desperately needs help and i am unsure how where to go. What is the best solution for a disastrous situation like this? 😓

As a person that just had an all-on-4 procedure... I respect you doing this, but you are forgetting about how sensitive the roof and under the tongue is during the first week.. even diluted mashed potatoes with milk feels like sandpaper inside my mouth... so far all I've been able to handle is protein shakes and applesauce. I'm on day 5. Its getting old fast..

I have very bad breath, but it comes from the back of my throat. I never see stones in my tonsils though. I’m thinking the smell is coming from my partial grown in wisdom teeth and maybe bacteria from food particles stuck in the gum flaps are migrating to the crypts in my tonsils??? I also have dry mouth. Can anyone tell me if it sounds like it correlates to my wisdom teeth? I also have post nasal drip 😒

Hi dr. I just feel like you maybe the only one who can help me. Listening to your videos such as this one makes me feel happy. I had a few teeth removed during my braces journey yrs ago. Also, am missing two lateral incisors. I have an imbalance smile. One orthodontist told me it’s a tissue issue and nothing can be down. I know in heart that that’s not the case. I had never had this imbalance while I have all my teeth. Also moving my canine to close the gab caused another imbalance. I hate my smile. Pls tell me if this can be fixed. I feel like you can do it. I need the space opened and put in implant to give me a more balanced and wider smile.

I find it utterly unprofessional and unacceptable to allow animals, especially dogs, in the surgical room of a clinic. This practice blatantly breaches professional codes and basic hygienic principles. Ladies and gentlemen, never permit a dentist to treat you if they do not adhere to these fundamental standards of cleanliness. This is a significant issue in America today: dogs are permitted everywhere, even in medical settings. I find this appalling.

I fractured my front two teeth in a bike accident and lost somewhere between 60-70% of one of the teeth and then roughly 25-30% of the other tooth. Basically a large chunk of the corner was lost on the tooth that lost 25-30%. I needed a root canal done on the tooth that lost 60-70% and then both teeth had temporary fillings done to build them up and give me some kind of front teeth again for the time being. I was told crowns would be my semi permanent fix but am just trying to see what the best option is, or I guess "what" my options are. It seems kind of unfortunate that I have a large amount of real tooth left on the one side that they are saying will need to be crowned: although it does make more sense on the side where I lost a large portion of the tooth. What's your opinion on all of this? Thanks for your time

After just having a horrific tooth infection in s broken tooth then being told it would be $1350 just to have the rest of it pulled I don't even want to know how much an implant would cost. I've been told 2000-4000 per tooth. Dentistry as a service/business has to be redone because nobody can afford it & dental insurance is thru the roof & doesn't cover this type of stuff anyways, only preventative! Another "broken system".
