A question:I tried to breathe in deep and breathe out slowly.... But when I breathe out the air doesn't go slowly. If I do it spontaneously,the time of breathing in is equal to the time of breathing out. Should I try to exhilarate more slow,or it comes whith practice?

It slows down as you relax, don't try to slow it down consciously, just smile to yourself on the out breath

I doubt they are making much of a profit on the sale of that book. They are selling it at around $7, an incredibly affordable price. Can you really talk about a monk making profit if he lives more sparsely than 99% of people?

They have to make a little to sustain life so they can share the Dharma. They (monks) don’t have bank accounts nor cars nor houses like 99% of people. They don’t have money like most of us.

Thank you for posting Thay's teaching. I do miss the mindfulness bell ringing to give pause for mindful breaths, and coming home to within. You apparently edited those out, and it becomes all words. He is the Zen master, it's humbling (and good), to follow his lead. 🫶💕
