Meditation and mindfulness for inner peace. This is a guided meditation practice for non-reactivity in daily life.
All the guided meditations on this channel are just speaking with periods of silence because you don't want a voice going on all the time. There is no music either. Music is fine if you want to relax but it's not really appropriate for meditation because it can distract us from being with our direct experience. That's what meditation is all about. It's nothing fancy. It's simple, but not always easy because we spend most of our lives trying to distract ourselves from what we're actually feeling. In meditation, we practise observing what's happening, whether that is thoughts, sensations, external things like sounds, and if we have a reaction to them, we notice what that reaction is but then take a pause before we act. Meditation is good practice for non reactivity as it helps us to become less reactive in our day to day lives. This makes for a more peaceful way of being.
This guided morning meditation is a great way to start your day. There are no guarantees that you're going to have a perfect day but let's increase the odds by starting with meditation. Meditation helps you to become calmer, less reactive and deal with challenges as they come up. There's no such thing as a perfect day but every day has perfect aspects to it.
