Thanks for the tour, took me back to my youth when we could visit all the caverns for free as we were Castletonions born & bred, I've not been down there for over 47 years, the last time I visited around 15 years ago when we went to the Carol singing in the entrance with my father a couple of years before he passed away.

Oh Bob this made me giggle like a school girl when you said the name, we used to have school trips to all the caverns and yes made us all giggle back then too :) Nice to see again and listen more to the history of it. I have a MD friend who is 82 now when he was a young man he was a caver in the Yorkshire dales even has a cave named after him Black rose Ged :) His real job was in the RAF but that is another story :)

Oh my we went there with our children and it was closed so as we were walking away my 5 year old daughter says "The devil's iris." It was so funny and no we didn't correct her 🤣
