this touched me on how a soldier gets wounded and a other soldier helps

I'm not gonna ask for the gear or the weapons or the actors. just the fact of this is real and true and there is a feeling i get from this that almost calms me to see such a real representation of war. Thank you ridersupproductions.

That was seriously the best short film I have ever seen.... No joke I loved it...

The weapon of the guy who picks up the wounded guy was a M16a2 or later. If its was a M16 or a M16A1 it would have a shorter magazine, and a triangular barrel. unlike the M16A2 which has a circle.
@jboyd86856 жыл бұрын
they had circle grips butt they were not fully developed same with the 30 rd mag

This is a really great short film! I loved it!

Yes they had 30 round magazine, werent issued until late 1969 and early 1970....and yes they had woodland ERDL bdu wich was called leaf pattern wich was only issued to special operation unit....and sense the guy in the movie is a sniper he qualifies to wear the woodland ERDL bdu.

That's what I thought too, I think it may be Hunter Liggit or Camp Roberts, I trained with my reserve unit at Roberts, plus some of the guys from the motor pool at Fort Ord trained there too when I was active duty

That was amazing, but how come the dude in the end looked like he was wearing a green bath towel?
@montanax21723 жыл бұрын
He kinda was, they were issued OD Green towels to keep the sweat from getting them soaked, and also for general uses.
@georgeivey12342 жыл бұрын
@@montanax2172 I had to wear mine in training as I am left handed.. The M-16 ejects rounds from the right side. The towel made sure no rounds went down my shirt.. Goof balls on the range are dangerous enough with out one dancing around trying to get a super hot casing off them with a loaded M16 in one hand.. Iike MontanaX2 said In country they were used to soak up sweat as well as be a barrier from the shirt rubbing on your neck. Lots of other uses depending on where you were posted and what you were doing..

accept for the historical errors I like it, especially the clever plot mixed with the tittle name.

kattat45 look up the 3rd man factor. Many American Service Members reported that after their unit was wiped out, they were rescued by man/men with WWII gear. Believed to be fallen soldiers.
@degiojuancarlosdellavega49228 жыл бұрын
It's called the third man factor. It is true and there a re several accounts that are reordered and reported as true. There was a report of a soldier in Vietnam who report that after his unit was wiped out and he was laying on the ground dying he was picked up by a soldier dressed in WW2 full combat gear and carried out to safety. The army troopers father was an infantry soldier who was killed in WW2. In full combat gear. Third man factor, look it up.

Pretty much all his gear is ALICE Lc-1 and Lc-2 gear (1973) not M1956 (1956) 30rd mags are not accurate for 1968 He picks up m16 with no sling but it has a sling a minute later. No water in canteen Woodland BDU's (1981)

+Cap Camouflage Pattern I typical asshole who couldn't make a better movie if his life depended on it.

@OtherMinecrafter8 жыл бұрын
darthnick96 And yes, I can't make a better movie because everybody that would be a movie would look too young. Yes but it rarely saw use and even then was mostly used In the CAR-15 commando by special forces.

Guys walking around Vietnam by themselves? Never happening. And never at sling arms. You carried it in front of you at the ready often with the safety off and the selector switch on full rock-n-roll (automatic). Clean fatigues with rolled up sleeves? Never happened.
@walkerpercy87022 жыл бұрын
Of course these things happened. Everything happened.

Sniper lying in the middle of a field? Get real. They were on some high ground in the tree line covered up. You guys might try using a little commonsense or ask a Vietnam combat vet. This has no plot, not much sense and little authenticity. Other than that it's just wunnerful, wunnerful.
