There is a dual purpose animal originating from India called "Sirohi" that I think will improve our genetics drastically. Please look into it.

Yes my research leads me to believe they are great for meat production

The 3 billion market is mainly the hotel industry which imported their meat even when other entities such as restaurants banned to import same. For us to bridge that gap farmers will have to force the government to stop importing for the tourist industry
@farmerkhalil Жыл бұрын
And we ramp to production to can fill that gap, tourist has to eat

Very informative and glad to see that we received some insight into this. What’s the goal with the latest import at CASE? Is it to get their #’s up first, then to identify specific farms or cluster groups to supply that Trump line semen?

Too much process just hearing it hurts my head that's why i go the curry route raise Boer goats and make they weigh. A100lb live weight in a year and collect my 60k for that , 100 ram 6 mil a year.

Hey buddy I have been looking at your program for quite a while now. Very interesting 👌🏿. I am a born St Lucian who is currently working in the UK. After watching this program, do Jamaicans export animals through the Caribbean? I only recently started a goat farm in St Lucia 🇱🇨 and I am interested in getting different types of goat from Jamaica 🇯🇲
@farmerkhalil2 жыл бұрын
Yes we can send animals to Caribbean, we are actually in the process now for sending to few islands.

Respect Sir B 👊🏾🇯🇲👊🏾🇯🇲👊🏾 Very profound as usual, knowledge = empowerment. keep it up 💪🏾 To really have some sort of impact with the view of our GDP The Government needs to be more responsible and goal driven by playing the leading role. The Poor Farmers barely have grazing land much less money to consider importing animals to really make an impact. This story line will be more profitable to the sharks (private) individuals who’s more thinking about Buisness and controlling the (market) genetics/prices/Feed😉than GDP. Who cares 🤷🏽♂️ really. The poor man will stay poor and hopeful. Invest in your people smartly!!! Action!!! The people/country will grow. Drive the Agriculture sector. We all know it’s the only solution to our problems/ GDP. But we have to really care first right 🤦🏽♂️ Stop digging holes 🕳 it’s not smart. Build bridges and ladders 👍

I think that Kiko is best suited for meat goat production and that's where we should be heading. Given their characteristics
@farmerkhalil2 жыл бұрын
I think they are all for meat, but yes the Kiko genetics surely fits for meat and our cross Boer or Nubian natives excellent for meat.

Kiko goats are similar to your native goats, selective breeding of the natives should be practiced more to improve their genetic just like the Kiko goats
