Guides to Goodness - Muhammad al-Yaqoubi

Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi introduces Dalāʾil al-Khayrāt alongside its new translation ‘Guides to Goodness’ at Cambridge Central Mosque.
Composed in the 15th century by the Moroccan scholar of Prophetic decent, Muhammad Sulaymān al-Jazūlī al-Shādhilī, Dalāʾil al-Khayrāt was the first major work to compile litanies of peace and blessings for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Al-Jazūlī was inspired to pen the book after seeing a girl miraculously cause a well to overflow enabling him to perform his ablution. When he questioned how she did this, she revealed that the secret was a constant invocation of blessings and peace upon the best of creation, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Among some spiritual orders, its recitation has endured as a daily practice for over five centuries.
Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi is a Syrian scholar of Islamic jurisprudence, tradition, and Sufism. He is widely recognised as one of the most influential Muslim leaders in the world; with his speeches, classes, and books having changed thousands of lives. He is also a descendent of the Prophet Muhammad.

In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful ♥️🤲🕋♥️🕋🌹🌹🥀🤲🌹🕋♥️🤲 Dear Cambridge Central mosque, I just watched "Guides to Goodness - Muhammad al-Yaqoubi" on KZbin^1. I can honestly say it reminds me of what it means to be in search of the truth and enlightenment in terms of the religion of Islam, something that I've been doing all my life. I can tell you many people in Islam experience the couch experience, or even worse. But listening to his eminence, my dear Teacher Shaykh as-Sayyid Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, it's like getting on a first class airline, if such a thing existed. I really just want to capture the spiritual experience of receiving this message from people who have actually accompanied scholars and have undertaken the spiritual journey of purification, to a point where they were transformed and are now able to transform other people. Just watching him is like going back in time and understanding: why was there so much peace in his love? Why was there so much creativity in Islam? Why was the Muslim civilization successful in the past? Being in his presence, all those answers are received by the heart for those who are on a spiritual journey and are thirsty. That has been my case in a span of just a few days when he visited San Jose. My heart went from being a dry desert with no creativity and no ambitions, to having a heart that is revived and making no excuses and looking for ways to follow this true religion through the love of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family. The revival to goodness and the book that he is reviving might be just another day for him, but it is an entire revival for the entire Muslim community around the world. I have learned from my blessed teacher to continue striving in understanding the spiritual love which is the light this entire universe is created from, and that residing within everyone is something to explore. Because the light of the best prophet is the source of all goodness and all mercy. As he said in his talk, the reason people are forgiven and given one chance after another is because of him and the love Allah has for the Blessed Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family. The talk was so short and yet so impactful I don't know even how to put it into words. Please invite him again so that we can get the recitation and the incredible singers, so that the history of Islam can echo from his circles, like it always does. Thank you for hosting my blessed teacher, whose energy and love for spreading this religion and its message through the doors of love, that is missing in today's world, is a rare occurrence to witness. Rasulullah's (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Love for his Ummah It has been recorded in ‘Mawaahib Ladunniyah’ from ‘Tafseer Qushairy’ that on the day of Judgement a believer shall appear for reckoning with a small measure of righteous deeds. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) shall appear and place on the side of the righteous deeds a small piece of paper that will be the size of the tip of one’s finger. The result will be that the scale of good deeds will far outweigh the evil deeds. Seeing this, the believer will exclaim, “May my mother and father be sacrificed for your sake, who are you? How beautiful is your physical appearance, and how sublime is your conduct.” Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) shall answer: “Verily I am your Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). This which I have placed on your scale is the salaat and salaam that you used to recite upon me during your lifetime. Now I have come to your aid and assistance at your time of need.”

Rasulullah's (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Love for his Ummah It has been recorded in ‘Mawaahib Ladunniyah’ from ‘Tafseer Qushairy’ that on the day of Judgement a believer shall appear for reckoning with a small measure of righteous deeds. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) shall appear and place on the side of the righteous deeds a small piece of paper that will be the size of the tip of one’s finger. The result will be that the scale of good deeds will far outweigh the evil deeds. Seeing this, the believer will exclaim, “May my mother and father be sacrificed for your sake, who are you? How beautiful is your physical appearance, and how sublime is your conduct.” Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) shall answer: “Verily I am your Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). This which I have placed on your scale is the salaat and salaam that you used to recite upon me during your lifetime. Now I have come to your aid and assistance at your time of need.”
