Guidi 995 Review - 1 Year Wear

I wear size 41 and I have a slighter wider left feet. I would recommend TTS, size up if you would like to put in an insole or have wide feet. The 995 are a classic and I am very excited to keep wearing them and see how they age over the years.

in Margiela Gats im a true 41 what would you say ill be in Guidi ? should I get a 40 or go for a 41 ? I usually know that boots in most cases is to size down so im just curious that's all. Please and thank you for the nice informational video.

I would just recommend tts then! I would still check to see if they’re a good year welt or Blake stitch on their website to see which sole the Guidi you’re looking at would have. I do think out of all the guidis I have I haven’t had the reason the size down necessarily, where as even for my Truman boots would wear size 7.5 and I do recall wearing a size 40 for the YSL combat boots. Yeah for reference I also have the Guidi moon boots size 41 but also the square toe back zip one in 42 which fits me as well.

The one thing from when I was researching on KZbin and Reddit, no one really mentioned sizing down and I do feel like for all the Guidi's I do have (all 41 or 42), they would have definitely been too small length and width wise. I just checked my Nike shoes where I wear size 8 or 8.5 (I found 26.5cm to be the most comfortable). I think I'm really in between a 8 or 8.5 but I definitely feel you as my older Shoto boots or Dior boots too I would size half down so it wouldn't have the problem of being too long. I do wish they provided half sizes for all their models as I do feel like a 41.5 would be a safe bet for all their models but I still have to figure out between a 41 or 42. The 9088 back zip paint splatter one is I have in size 42 but I also do have the 708092V in size 41 and they both fit fine. When I tried on the 796V_N in store, I would def pick the size 42! I think in most cases a size 41 fits me but because of my wider left foot, I would go for size 42. My right foot has no issue with neither size!

Update: 1 size up fits amazing, these boots are the most high quality, meticulously constructed objects I have ever bought. I feel like I got amazing value even at $700 they are masterpieces. If you are on the fence get them guys
