Awful storyline, one of many from this very lackluster period. Insulting really; Maeve's actions, I mean was this their idea of a strong businesswoman? Actors made the most of this trite, rehashed material, but could only do so much. Just so convoluted, even by soap standards. This period saw a revolving door of writers, which resulted in a revolving door of both characters and storylines that went nowhere. It's no wonder at this time Soap Opera Digest did an article entitled "What's Wrong with Guiding Light?" And it was to get much worse before it got better with that craptacular Paul Velere murder mystery.
