Guild drama & raid

Got yelled at for streaming the raid, okay, I won't stream. (To clarify I have spoken to the guild master after raid and he have said as follow "As long as you're in our guild you are not allowed to stream" meaning ANY content even outside of WoW which I found ridiculous because "I represent them" I left soon after )

Dude keep doing what your doing don’t let anyone tell you what to do . That happened to me while ago I left the guild and if it’s your dream and something you want to do don’t let anybody get in your way .

I've only watched like 3 minutes while looking for some juicy guild drama goodness, but it is a dick move to stream and put your whole guild in the spotlight like that without their consent. When I wanted to stream so my gf could watch the raid I asked my guild and they were okay with it. I asked them because I have mutual respect with my guild. Just because you're okay with being seen by a bunch of random people on the internet while playing doesn't mean everyone else is and you just basically gotta respect that.

@@Pandarus123 seeing this very late, but it seemed like it needed addressing. its not about being too sensitive or being sheltered, its about respect. not everyone wants to be exposed to a stream audience of any size. if im in a guild ,part of that has to be me liking and respecting the people in that guild, so if they wish to not be streamed then i wont stream. if you don't have that level of respect for the people you play with, then just don't play with them you clearly dont like them that much anyway. streaming makes your groups private activity public, most people who raid dont actively want that (or they would stream themselves) and some people actively dont want that. if you cant be adult enough to realise this you just shouldn't be playing organised multiplayer games

@@Drakshl the issue was that they didn't want me to stream at all even if I was just by myself doing my own thing because "I represent their guild as being a member" I had tried to reach middle ground with them but they won't budge, so I left. I have no issue playing multiplayer games with people, I ask in advance now and so far these people were the only ones that had an issue.

Tbf the only drama really done is posting this video. Idk it's just generally considered courtesy to ask groups to stream (in some Asia servers groups will actually kick you if they find out you streamed without asking). It doesn't hurt. I did however read your other comment about how they didn't want you streaming period - even when doing your own content. That is a fucking stupid rule (and also one I'm sure you'd have never joined if you knew about it).

Because they thought they got their way which obviously they didn't 🤣. I was upset with them because they wouldn't make a reasonable compromise and tried to force their hand on me to never stream while I'm in their guild. This means outside of Warcraft as well because "I represent their guild for being a member." I left after the raid and they disbanded because they couldn't find a suitable tank and more people left due to their outrageous rules. In the end I'm pretty happy 😊.

Lol super late. But being someone who held TS clearances. The idea that there arent safeguards you do to maintain your anonimity (reduce social media presence, not making a big footprint electronically, keeping your IT security updated). The things you suggested would be more than accommodating to do that. I use to stream with a server 1st guild and they didnt want comms out or nameplates shown so it left everyone in the dark but my gameplay. And polygraph has nothing to do with clearances so im 90% sure hes just being an over sensitive crybaby who is tinfoil bout the internet.

U need permission to stream ok im out. People are so fucking weird. I know this is 2 years later but for the people defending this nonsense down in the comments, you can kick rocks as well. It's a fucking video game have fun and stop taking life so god damn seriously. Part of people's fun while playing a game is streaming. These people act like they are talking about top-secret information while playing wow and raiding. Get over yourself you are not that important and even if you are in the real world you are not in WoW. This is so beyond me, and the 2 people in the comments have to be from the guild. Sorry for the rant but this is so extreme I just had to get it off my chest.
