I haven't done PvP for a long time, like years... My first time coming back to it is with this build and it's so much fun. I feel like the game supports distinct roles and builds better than it used to. This build fulfills the "Paladin/Cleric" feeling that I never really got. I haven't gotten into the more hardcore PvE content though, and I've heard supports have a role there as well.

Anytime there's a core guardian in the enemy team, just don't even think about getting into a team fight.

Thx for the video. Appreiate it. I play this build a lot but it is really hard to counter 2 dps (especially 2 reapers) when they focus on you and you are a bit alone ... with this video i understand it is important to absolutely stay with team :)

I've been playing this build for about a week and I'm loving it! Only difference is I'm using the main hand sword instead of mace, only cause of my better familiarity with the sword and I've noticed that in a good amount of lower unranked matches (cause I'm a noob) sometimes there will be 2 or 3 support players and barely any DPS so being able to contribute a little more damage when I notice that disparity has been helpful. But I do want to work on using mace and see how it goes. You're not joking when you say it's a pretty tanky build. And despite low mobility without any buffs you do have that staff 3 and Advance available if you really need to book it and survive. Glad to see a real pro play this build and show how it's done! As a side note, I wonder if you could do a video talking about identifying both team mate abilities and enemy abilities and how you should treat them as a support class. I.e. I don't know what the hell is happening when a Necro goes to shroud...should I heal? Should I wait? Your tactic of just letting them die so you can get the rez is not something I would have thought of but I can see how it was better than trying to blow all your cooldowns just to save them.

Hello vallum I'm coming from wow and gw2 seems a breath of fresh air. I'm lost though with classes my main objective is pvp and wvw which profession are avaliable and which the best I know is a tough question to answer any answer will help a lot thanks in advance

@@Vallun good morning thank you for the reply I heard guardian is tanky I heard as well druid is not viable for pvp and necro is based mostly with shields is that correct so far? I prefer a healer with high mobility I don't like to play as well a healer who just spamming heals I like a versatile healer with mobility capable to do cc and some damage if is possible I hope I'm not looking a lot. From my early expressions tempest looking like what I'm looking but I wanted to ask you first. One last question what's your thoughts so far about specter? Looking really interesting but I didn't had access to beta well I barely know the game lol. So my plan is level one support now learn the game and after eod if specter worth use my free boost. I use monk rune, way more burst healing and if you play the map you don't need the extra defense from soldier rune.

Soldier Rune gives you one more condi clean for every shout. It's a must have in Combination with "Pure of Voice".

i prefer the sword variant instead of the mace, more mobility is nice on a support that has none

I dont like to use the heal Signet. For me it's overrated. 90 seconds cooldown....cmon. The better way is to take one shout more "Hold the Line" with 20 sec. Cooldown. One more heal and one more 2 cleans (Pure of Voice + Soldier Rune) and 4 sec Protection. For the Rezz I use "Protective Reviver" instead of "Invigorated Bulwark". Just use Shield 5 before rezzing the team mate, so you knockback the enemy twice...with "Hold the lines" prevents more that team mates goes down. Shelter as self heal skill is an one more Option for high pressure situations, what actually often happens.

not wrong, keeping them alive can be more reliable than reviving, and can take the revive trait to do that too, but i think sometimes the signet really gate keeps roamers

I've tried every class. "Try druid" "try ele".. didn't like the play style. Didn't feel like enough heals. I've liked engi and rev support. Hyped to learn support guardian next. Playing with builds to play a certain way outside dps meta is helping me learn classes and the game a new way.
