First off, if it's over 100 degrees that fellas beard must have been miserable. I have nowhere near that much facial hair and I think it's miserable. I can only imagine! Top notch job on the seamless!!! I had a guy who could have been that dude's twin brother do my seamless gutters last year. Same awesome quality! The Forest Gump rain analogy killed me Jeremy! LOL!!! @@funnyfarmdad9997 Maybe because I'm in Minnesota and when the humidity is almost 100% with temps pushing 100, it seems way more miserable. I can't argue the head getting too hot at all. I wear a cap year round and you ain't joking when it gets that hot, off comes the cover!

Your house is pretty open and away from trees. 👍 A reminder for those viewers that have trees around their house or when you decide to plant large shade trees around the house: GutterHelmet or Leaf Guard is a must if you attach your downspouts to a buried corrugated pipe whether it has drain holes or not or if it drains just a few feet away from the house. The corrugated pipe will catch leaf and tree debris collected in your gutters and flushed down the drain spouts and eventually clog up the pipe if the gutters are left uncovered.

My wife and I built our retirement home in SW Va. The land slopes, as you know. Our front yard had to be drained to the side of the house. We spent the day digging a ditch with a plumber's troubleshooting shovel and putting in the downspout connectors and 3" black plastic pipe. We were 30 minutes from finishing when a afternoon thunderstorm popped up. We were scrambling to get everything connected and the ditch covered before it started raining. We didn't make it! We were both drenched and cold when we finished! Just one of the stories of our 40 year marriage. Hope yours is just as long.

Above ground tanks can provide water pressure for irrigation from gravity alone, below ground cisterns require power and an electric pump but are hidden from view. You perhaps aren't worried about the power issue because you have the PV system. Maybe one tank and one cistern?

thanks for the video!. I don't know how far ahead you are of when you post but have you ever watched any of those blocked drain clearing channels? That flexible "pipe" under ground in the long run can be problematic. As the earth settles and moves around it, it will break and tear more easily, plus if you have to clear a blockage, PVC gives you more options in what you can use to clear it. If roots start growing in there for example, which almost always happens over time.

Absolutely perfect... with only one 'tiny' thought... should put leaf guard system in while you were at it... are you ever going to want to be on the roof, or on a ladder that high to clean out the gutters? With all the trees you have around the property... while none of them are over the house, wind will eventually win on putting enough in there to clog them and then SOMEBODY is gotta clean them out!

I had a raised garden 4 ft x 32 ft long. Too wide to step over (safely). Suggest making 8 or 12 ft long gardens in a line with walk ways in between. Unless you plan on stepping in your garden, which is not good for it (ref Square Foot Garden book).

Be easier to water the beds if you have your tank catchments under that porch area. So theyd be higher than the beds. Just run the overflow outlets back into the drain line and it wont affect your runoff or foundation . IMO

Depends. The caulking I use here in quebec, Canada have a 15 year warranty. There a way to do end caps. The best way I found with the years is that I put the caulk first on the gutter end and then I install the end cap. This way, the caulk is deep into the end cap so last and since I do this method, I never have a leaky cap. We have harsh winter here so caulking need to be really well!
