Superbes images, on ressent l’implication de l’équipage, la tension dans le cockpit et la nécessaire coordination flying/monitoring/comATC... je crois que j’ai presque autant flippé que le FO ! Et que dire du taxi, on comprend pourquoi le Line training se fait à KORD 👍

I thought the same thing! There was much confusion. Even about clearance to pass a runway. Those are (in my humble opinion) things where there must be no doubt about. I understand that such a huge airfield is confusing with all those different taxi ways and exits. But I found it a bit shocking that there was so much confusion over a lot of stuff.

That’s just generally how atc talks but they could be talking faster here because of how busy ORD is

The pilots have the charts and they know the routine so they already know what ATC will say. It's much easier to understand ATC when you know what they're going to say.

The first instruction from the second tower included the instruction to "cross 28R", that's clearance. The clearance comes before taxiway GG because the takeoffs start *after* the GG crossing. Air France has to taxi back all the way to GG specifically so that they're behind the departures when they cross.

For their defense, it sounds like it's their first time landing in Chicago. Also, the control tower instructions were given with a very strong american accent, and were a bit confusing :-)

I think they were confused by the American lady's accent. They acknowledge experience there is important. They communicate with each other, and ask the people on the ground for confirmation to ensure they dis not get them wrong. It's a good thing even if it seems chaotic.
